Well everyone...I am doing my part (from my own experiences with these
bastards) I'd thought I would atleast try my best to lay some ground
rule of rules to try to avoid in being scammed online from Dating sites
to Community websites such as these..

Because to scammers sites like this and others are a BREEDING GROUND for
scammers to try and scam you either emotionally, financially or even
BOTH in some cases and circumstances and I want to hook everyone up with
some Basics of awareness to try to avoid these scammers roaming around
everywhere...it's big business each year for scammers to scam
people...so be cautious out there...

1) Don't fall in love with overseas person "Until You Physically Meet
The Person!"

2) If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is...

3) Get to know the person threw a free service such as this one and many
other types of community websites like this one.

4) Never ever ever give your email out at first..(read Rule #3)

5) Make sure to keep BACKUPS of the messeges you get from that supposed
"Special Person" scammers sometimes slip up and can't help themselves to
sometimes send you Pre-Made letters and if you spot future letters that
correspond to early responses from the same person you should be very
very very suspicious that the person is probably a scammer...

6) Check out online Anti-Scammer sites using Google and research tactics
scammers use threw letters, chat and email to try and scam you...KNOW
YOUR SCAMMER to avoid them later...Google ANTI-SCAM or ANTI-SCAMMER
should bring up sites where you can research on how scammers work...stay
ahead of the scamming game people...

7) If a person right out of the blue says "I love you, I want to marry
you, I want to have your baby's, Marry Me" all this bullshit you better
be suspicious because again how can somebody love you if you haven't
even met the person physically?? eh!!

8) Scammers love to usually wait into about (5) - (10) letters they send
you "when they know they got you comfortable with them" to then start
talking about things like "family member is sick could you send money"
or "I'm sorry I lied but I'm not from where you thought I was for safety
reasons...complete bullshit..if you have been lied to about location
then that's a trial balloon for this person off the bat has just lied to
you and is not honest..drop him or her right then & there" or "when you
talk about something serious with the person and they just say off the
bat (sorry..but I have to go now ok?)...avoiding serious conflicting
questions you ask the person in serious convo then be suspcious"
scammers try all sorts of tricks but keeping up to date research from
Anti-Scam sites work good to stay ahead of their tricks they use...

9) True NOT EVERYONE in a long distance relationship that you meet is a
scammer...but take precautions to REALLY TALK to the person by
phone..have him or her call you or you call that person and see where it
goes and ask questions....(continues to Rule #10)

10) If you are not sure...well...do a background check on the person to
see if he or her is legit...in today's society you can never be to sure
anymore so it's needed..it's up to you!!

HA! This just happened to me yesterday. I was on Yahoo chat and this
person claiming to be a female from Nigeria (Mail and phone scam capital
of the world, btw) starts talking to me, and me being bored, I converse
with her.

About half an hour later, no more then 45 minutes, she tells me she's
falling for me. A few minutes after that, she starts calling me cute
affectionate pet names and stuff.

Next thing I know, she's telling me she loves me and hopes to meet me
and move in with me! While I'm taken aback by this, she then starts on
about how her computer sucks and how she wishes she had a web can so I
could see her, right? She then hits me up for money to "borrow" so she
can get a laptop, and asks me if I'll buy her a web cam!

If I had a hunch this person was shifty before, I'm toally convinced
now, right? So I tell her sure, I'll wire her the cash and then tell her
she should go to the local Western Union to pick up the money today. I
just wonder how long she waited for that money that would never come?
