Why do you think some ppl don't want to get involved in the forum's?

scared too much about what others will think about what they have to say... worried they will say something stupid... I think just the typical reasons people can be shy normally

i think the forums are fun

I personally think it's because they are afraid they might put down stupid comments or at least the comments could be taken as stupid so they save themselves some embarrassment.

I just wondered because, I started chatting with someone who said they get get involved. They've been on this site for a number of month's.

Maybe they don't have time. Not everyone works in front of a computer or has as much computer access as other people.

imo..I don't think people will start posting right away unless they have friends who are here already and they have a place to "fit in" or have been on sites before that used forums. I think some choose a certain subject only to post about, and then there are those that might have not had the best experience and won't post again.

I have a friend I met from here and, he doesn't post either.

Maybe they had bad experiences with forums on other sites. There are some BAD ones out there.

Maybe they're ashamed to put their poor writing skills on display for the world to see.

I suspect the most prevalent reason is that they simply have nothing to say. The inertia of silence can be comfortably addictive to those too unmotivated to speak up.

Sound's like a realy boring kind of person Lex.

They account for about 95% of the people I've met in my life. Parrots offer more interesting observations. Exceptions to the rule are rare. Luckily, we have a good number of them in the forums....

Lots of people are shy yes or have nothing say or have no time and a lot juts don't want to be ridiculed by other forum user because we can't denied that a lot are only here in the forum to make crude jokes and smart remarks and really have nothing to say at all. Sometimes when we have nothing to add to a thread subject it is better to say nothing but some can't help themselves and a lot of people don't like that and prefer to just stay away from the forum.

Me I say what I have to say on the subject and people like or not doesn't count but at least I talk on the subject.

My humble opinion.

I see other peoples friends lists when I perv them, I wonder who are these people, they don't post. Lots of strong personalities here, and yes it can be intimidating at first.

Most of the newbies I chat with dont know about the forums..The others are too chickensh!t to come in ...They know if they say the wrong thing the Mingle family will attack...
