In one more day the election will be here. After mingling with 80 thousand people in Cleveland yesterday I have to say Ohio is going Obama. Its over for Mccain and Palin and all that is left for them to do is concededrinker

I am that sure being I have been doing door to door work for the Obama campaign. I dont play the lottery so I can give no insights there. for better or worse Obama is in and its just a formality at this point. We had Mccain speak in Mentor Ohio I think last week at an invation only event. Obama came in to cleveland on short notice and drew 80 thousand on a first come first served basis. The republicans couldnt pull this one out even if Palins kid captured Bin Laden

The people I met at the rally were from all walks of life, Nurses, Fireman, cops, retired, students, entire families there to be a part of history. We waited in line for five hours to get in. I had a 20 year old gal on my shoulders at one point so she could see Springsteen. Everyone was friendly and kind to one another. People were letting others forward to get a view of Obama being that it wasnt a great location. This was one of those rare occasions when faith in humanity is restored.

sadly in the US the popular vote means nothing...lets see if the Republicans can avoid being too obvious when they steal the presidency (again) with the electoral votes....

sorry...but until I see it, I wont believe that Obama is going to make it to the white house...ohwell

Remember, Madisonman, that I saw him in St. Louis with 100,000 people? That crowd was cheerful and happy. Then he went to Kansas City, MO, in the afternoon to a crowd of 75,000.

Ohio might be going that way, but I don't think it's anything close to concession just yet. Let's let the people vote can we? Jeesh!

Just down the road from me someone is filing a lawsuit because their 97 year old Aunt (who is in a nursing home and senile) was "helped" by someone to vote Obama. This women hasn't been of sound mind to vote in years, much less kept up on politics this year. Shenanigans like that just tick me off.

A good debate is always entertaining and informative, but this year tops it in the disgusting ways not to act department. It's been full of empty promises and thinly veiled threats. God help us with what's to come, no matter what the outcome is.

I think the times are just awful and have been for the last 8 years, a disaster for america in every way that is measurable. I dont have much faith in a senile 97 year old woman. I dont think she would make a good witness in court or be able to make a good decision on who to vote for, however she does have a right to vote and perhapse the person "helping her" intended to do just that.

Dude, this was the work of ACORN...it wasn't some well intentioned citizen. I guess I should have explained that, just thought you'd all figure that out on your own.

I don't think the last 8 years have been awful at all. You might make a point about the last couple years and the decline of our financial system lately, but the last 8 years? If your going to go that far, better go back to Clinton years too eh? He just MIGHT have started some of what you were calling awful 2 or 3 years later.

I admire your passion and respect you for trying to do something to further a cause, whether I agree with all of it or not. However, I do not think that having tunnel vision is appropriate for any cause.

Lady....with all due respect.... Please provide any link or an honest refrence to your accusations of acorn and this 97 year old woman. To me it is all hersay at this point. Just as they say she isnt able to vote due to her age I would speculate she would not be much of a witness either. First hand experience tells me many old folks wish to vote but are not capable or ble to find the channels available to them so they do not have to travel to the polls. This could be the last election this women ever votes in and the effort to get her to vote could have been well intended. I would at least need a link with a little more info to go along with your accusations.

It's not an accusation....it happened and it's happening other places as well. Of course she won't be a good witness, she had no idea what had even happened. Her family was involved enough to inquire as to just who the hell had been allowed to visit her and "help" her to vote. I don't need to provide you proof of something I was using as an example of the crap that's going on everywhere this election season. Do you provide honest undeniable proof of everything you have posted (9 pages worth since you have last talked about anything else here really) related to politics?

There are stories all over the place, not just this one, of dishonest voting practices. Your argument seems to be that basically it won't stand up in court? If we all did things dishonestly just because we have a good idea that we won't get convicted of it, would we be acting justly?

Even though your giving me grief..I still stand by my words that I appreciate your passion. drinker You do not seem open to listening to any other opinions and that's your right. Just as it's mine to state my own opinions. Don't look for any "honest references" from me though because I'm not a big fan of coping and pasting other peoples propaganda. I'll just continue to read, listen and think.

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.

sorry but when a story starts out with I know someone who said this......... and there is no credible facts involved my propaganda radar goes off. If you understand what acorn is about they are the ones who are getting ripped off being that they pay people to register voters and when fraudulant names are submited it is the workers ripping off Acorn. In order for a person to vote they would have to provide fake identification that matches their fake address to actualy be able to vote. Do you get the picture here? This has little to do with voter fraud and more to do with lazy acorn workers.
