As Samson Was Betrayed

The story of Samson and Delilah
Tells how love can betray,
When she asked Samson three times
Where did his strength belay?
So to test her with trust
He told her a simple lie,
When she found she was forsaken
She asked him why?

Three times I had asked you
And three times you lied,
Why won't you tell me love
Where your strength belies?
Ok Delilah, I will tell you the truth
And so to be fair,
That since my birth
No razor has touched my hair.

While asleep on her knee
She took upon a pair of shears,
"The Phillistines are upon us."
And he woke up in fear.
They took him and bound him
And put out his eyes,
But with Samson's great faith
They got a big surprise.

His hair grew back quickly
His faith still remained,
When they began to mock him
His strength was regained.
He was put between two pillars
Where he called upon God,
He placed his hands on the pillars
And then with a nod...

And just as Samson was betrayed
By Delilah's love and trust,
He died along with the Phillistine's And did as he thrust.
He never lost his faith in God
In his time when he was weak,
Neither should we, as God's children
When we are so meek.

I'm only familiar with the extreme basics of this story, but this does make me want to actually read it.

Well I'm glad I put it in a way to where you are interested in reading it. The movie was good too with Victor Mature as Samson.
