Ben and I have decided to get married next year instead of waiting two
years. Planning a wedding is hard work. If anyone has any ideas feel
free to share them. Tips will be helpful.

flowerforyou drinker congrats steph....thats great.is this your
first wedding? I know when i got married and it can be work..lol..fights
too with the finace, parents..etc..laugh i had a big wedding of
course, so took a while to plan, but when u do, just be careful and shop
around for the best deals as far as flowers, the cake, reception halls
and even your dress..some places will at least with me have tryed to rip
me off and i caught it in time and went somewhere else..i had about 130
people at my wedding and the reception hall was perfect. it was at a
country and gold club, wasnt the fansyest, but was good for us..me and
my husband, well ex now, both loved to play golf, so was on a gold
course..i had a buffet and it was only $8 a plate, so that wasnt
bad..the only thing if i could of changed anything was the D.J..he was
not that good.noway noway laugh

Bridal regestry. You and your hubby can pick out all the things you need
and avoid thoes..... "Wow oven mitts with kittens on them honey!"
Also go on line to shop for deals sometimes you can hire a DJ with your
catering company and save HUGE $$$$

Dont get your bridal dresses from a bridal shope they are way $$$ and
your gals will probably hate you for that seaweed green dress that they
will never wear again. If your having a summer wedding there are cute
sun dresses at places like suzy shier. Also make your gift to you
wedding party their jewlery takes the guess work out for them.

Have a jack and Jill with tons of games for your guests to play that
they donate money towards. Poker tables, a rulette wheel, toss your
coins to the bottle of jack daniels.......

Most of all, savor the moment your hubby sees you walk down that isle
you only get it once. Own it! Your hard work is over.

Hope thats helpfull.

If it was me,I'd save the money I'd spend on the wedding, get married by
a JP and have a really nice honeymoon instead. Of course, if you can
afford both...the sky's the limit, I guess.

Elope & come bk to a big party. Big weddings are an expensive 1/2 hr.
Big party is a more relaxed celebration of the event & you get better
gifts.
