People are people...when you get right down to it, we're all probably pretty ordinary...I would think we'd be seeking out good characteristics and personality traits in one another. Looks fade, so why should they amount to so much? Because people believe that a relationship can be based solely on looks when in fact, it can't be, hence crazy people & high divorce rates  Finding beauty within instead of just outside defines love from lust in my opinion. This is the only reason i said what i said even tho its not directly stated that its NEEEDED , However like i said i could be alone in this but i tihnk it is need in some manner I think she is saying that attraction is needed, but it isn't based on looks only. If it's based on looks only, that's lust. i totally agree but i was just mentioning the other side of the coin |

The first time I replied to you, I even agreed with needing to be attracted to someone in a relationship and that it's all based on preferences. I wish the sites would offer something that is more truthful than the very deceptive phrase "a few extra pounds". I would much rather have the choice to put my actual weight or body mass index than something that will invariably be selectively interpreted. My ideal weight according to medical professionals is in my mind consideralbly lower than what is realistic but I accept that I could still stand to loose 25 lbs. even though I do not consider myself offensively fat. The idea that a person is over weight by only three pounds is ridiculous to me. I have met more men that have posted deceptive pictures than not. I am always amazed that men expect women who are the same height they are to weigh significantly less.

As long as people are putting up fairly recent pictures of themselves, I don't really see a problem what category they think they fit in. But yes, I do realize many people don't put up pictures like that. I do think it's kind of funny when someone has an ideal weight in their head for the other sex. Though, if that works for them, great. People carry their weight differently, though. I can never guess exactly how someone weighs, and do not have a specific number in mind for men I date. |
