Topic: Palin Wrong Again | |

"If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations," Palin told host Chris Plante, "then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."
The media asking questions, publishing responses and researching facts about a candidate or an issue without fear of attacks what the 1st Amendment is all about. She's worried about the media convincing voters? I guess she thinks the American public cannot think for themselves. Fairly insulting stance don't you think? Palin once more has proven she is ignorant and maybe dangerous. |

Obama just last month called for his supportes to 'bring down fox news'. this month the Democratic Party pulled all of its spots, interviews and other such things from ABC news affiliates in Florida. Independant analysis of news services as they have reported on each of the main canditates for president. MSNBC... 78% of articles favored Obama... 12%favored McCain. CNBC.... 63% favored Obama... 38% favored McCain. FOX... 40% Favored Obama. 40% Favored McCain. Rest of Fox coverage was about non-standard canditates. There were also coverage ratings for news services such as ABC, CBS, CBC and some international news services but I won't go into those. I read in a post on here that only fox news reported this... To the contrary you can find it online and it was reported by more than one INDEPENDENT News watch site... (yes there are people out there that rate our news services). |

I think anyone who uses fancy words is dangerous!
Come to think of it letting women get educations is dangerous! Education? Who needs an education when they can sit at home, popping out brats, playing video games, watching American Idol and all the other things idiots are so fond of doing. Oh wait...I play video games.... hahaah |

Obama would have to actually take a stand somewhere before he can be wrong. It's easy to wait until post-happening to say you knew. Unfortunately Obama probably won't have that luxury as President if he's elected.
A wise man once said, "A person that has never made a mistake, has never done anything". |

Who ever wins this election has multiple troubles. two wars, the threat of others, economy in the $hitter, a huge debt, job losses, crumbling infrastructure, a lessened world reputation, the list goes on.
Both men are either blindly ambitious, really think they can change things for the better or are just taking care of their friends. Or a combination of all three. Who ever wins has their hands full and more. |

I think whoever wins will have a host of problems that we don't even foresee
but the Iraq thing is winding down and they are already started coming home Congress is already addressing the economic mess and will have most of the solution in place by the time either gets inaugerated whoever is President will inherit a lot of solutions already in progress |

I don't want her to be the one picking up the red phone in the middle of the night. Many people have lost respect for McCain when he picked her! She has a higher than normal chance of becoming a President due to McCain's age. And haven't you heard? McCain is down in the points. |

HA HA HA
Are you actually saying if McCain hadn't attempted to pander to female voters and picked a man he'd be down 20 points? Umm wait...let's see...you are saying McCain cannot carry a ticket on his own merit? You luv Sarah and now you are making saying this? Frankly Sir I am shocked! Why wasn't her she running in the primaries? If she is so qualified? So, your statement implies that....well I am going to let the readers of your post sort that out. |

I honestly believe McCain thought that women were dumb enough to fall for that. My 70 yr. old mother said that she's no dummy. |

Got any proof of wanting to bring down Fox News? I don't think that actually happened. They pulled out of the ABC affiliate in Florida because the anchors were asking Biden McCain "talking points" as if they were actual, factual questions. That's justified and not saying a reporter asking her about things like what the Vice President does on a daily basis is a "violation of the first amendment." If she wants to ramble about the first amendment, shouldn't she realize that a majority of her campaign has been guilty of both libel (written falsehoods defaming character) as well as slander (oral falsehoods defaming character)? Edit- Oh, and on the bias, news agencies don't say as many bad things about the Obama campaign because it doesn't do or say nearly as many stupid things as the McCain campaign. That isn't really bias. There's just not that much negative to say. |

IMO, it's what the media is dishing out, that most EVERYONE has made their decision and we are not fully informed on anything! So whether the American Public can think for themselves or not, isn't the issue, it's what they've been FED by a media of sort that they've made their decision. |
