Yeah, but mine isn't full of dirty pictures. I'm saving that for the fifth one.

I wish I knew. Maybe they have some kind of formula based on page count and shipping to the UK or something. I just found out about it a couple hours ago....

Why the hell would anyone want a book with dirty pictures?

I think that is where you are going wrong.

Plus, everybody I draw looks like a giraffe, and that doesn't help either.

Maybe they dont have access to literature in England?

Who? Do you mean Shaking Stevens?

The strange amount might simply be because the exchange rate, and the original price might have been not quite so arbitrary. Or is that too obvious?

Nice one Lex! Damn the luck, I won't be getting a book that expensive.rofl

It's strange -- list price is $18.99, then there's some sort of discount on Amazon, too. Is shipping to England THAT expensive? The Brits should just fly over, buy a copy, and go home!

One British pound is worth around two American Dollars right now. So figure it out.

I figured they were converting it to British rubles, or whatever you guys are using over there this week.

New guy here, just joined today and yet to fill out my whatchamacallit. Just perusing around first and seeing whats here when I came across this thread.

I'm British but live here in the US and quite often when my family and I ship stuff to each other the shipping is more expensive than the bloody gift. The trick is to send light stuff like t-shirts etc. Books are a big no no...

Odd that the buyer didn't buy your book from amazon.co.uk (assuming it's available on their UK site) and get free UK delivery.

Congratulations on the book anyway. I started writing one around two years ago and after about 10,000 words in haven't picked it up again since.

Not anymore, your American Peso has caught up with our British Rupee by quite a bit!

Thank you for the info! I really don't know about availability on amazon.co.uk but it would seem like that would be almost automatic....? I'm guessing. It's a huge company, and it's all over the world, I always figured.

The site I saw the book on seems to be a private bookselling company, unaffiliated with Amazon, but they do acknowledge the proper publisher, so I assume it's legitimate.

And welcome to the site!

???? -- If you're doubting the veracity of what I'm saying, plenty of people from this site have read the book.

I even posted a chapter of it in the Poems and Creative Writing forum!

I can sort of understand why someone might be skeptical. There aren't a lot of published authors on dating sites, as far as I know, although I am certainly not any kind of celebrity -- just a guy trying to get his creations out there into the world.

It's not like a few months back when we had that girl pretending to be Michelle Trachtenberg on here!

Would I know the name of one of these books???
