Story of the Cursed
Just beyond the sunset, Through the forest of pain, There's a giant wall of rubble Where a great battle once had raged. Where once there stood a tower, A mighty spire to the sky, A great magic had been woven, Alas it's now but dried. This place they say is haunted, Even now they still hear screams. Wailing in the darkness By a figure still unseen. Illusions here are witnessed, The weary dare not cross, Fear of something dreadful Or maybe something lost. Monsters roam this land, They say maybe one at least, Looking for the innocent On whom it may choose to feast. They say many who have entered Are never seen again, Many stay away But some stray every now and then. Everyone has stories I'm sure you've heard a few, But have you really thought That one is spoken true? Listen to the story Perhaps you'll see the light And see through the dark illusions That caused this land to die. Once there was a gardener Who kept a tidy crop, He sowed his seeds of wonder And blessed this little plot. A wielder of great magic To the tender plants at least, Shared his wondrous bounty To those who came to see. To one he kept a treasure, So perfect in his eyes And shared his secret gift With the apple of his eye. He never had a chance For she pierced his lowly heart, She cursed him for a fool And tore his world apart. So there he built a tower And sealed himself inside, Vowing not to leave, Forever here to hide. Then again it happened And she helped him break the wall, Never did he know How far that time he'd fall. From this was born the darkness, The great war that shook this earth And made this wall of rubble In a land they now called cursed. Fadedspirit 10/30/2008 |

Compassion and care run a parallel course and I see these things within your heart and much more. (((LAMom))) Thank you so much for that heart you share with everyone.
Very true TxsGal, we must always have hope. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked it. Ahh yes pkd, and in the process of tending to that garden we must not forget the forest in which we cultivate the sinews of our lives. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked it. |

Thanks DKW.
Sometimes we may not be able to tell if we are one or the other, for the decision there sometimes lies in the heart of the beholder. |
