Luxery taxes have been around for a long time and nobody said they were socialist. If someone can pull $250,000. a year in gross income, to me that is a lot of luxery, somehow I think they should have to give up more in taxes than someone who worked almost fifty years and made other people rich and can now barely afford to buy food.

He's not raising taxes for anyone under $250,000.
That is 95% of the country.

If I'm making $250,000 a year, then I would not mind giving $50,000 to the next guy (it's probably not that much). I would live quite well on $200,000 a year.

all good and fine .. but that should be your CHOICE, not a requirement

I live in America the land of opportunity, where each does his best ..

and I'd rather shake the hand of a man who defended my country with his own life .. IMHO

flowers

This doesn't tell anything about his ability to manage or multitask, or anything to do with business or communication. A war general manages men in a war, a president manages a country.

Therefore, in my opinion, putting your life on the line because you want college money or cash advances doesn't qualify you to be a president.

But babe .. America is NOT a corporation. It's our country. And I don't want just a good businessman. I want a patriot who loves his country that he serves for the American people.

Different mindset I guess.

Einstein always hated a patriot.

Yeh, I stood in line since 3pm... didn't start till 9:30pm. Was the 10th person there.

We got Domino's to deliver pizza to us in line. We made everyone jealous lol. Then everyone in line started getting pizza delivered.

When we got inside, we stood right under the podium, first row, first spot.

My buddy is going to be in Essence(?) magazine, the chick had some short of fascination with him and spend 10 minutes taking his picture.

We should be in the newpapers tomorrow

We got a free hat... and obama later signed it lol

We got an american flag, and an obama sign.

What a great night

That is too cool.

I saw him speak in St. Louis with 100,000 people.

Wasn't it great listening to him?!

But it's great if you got to do something you really wanted to do.

I'm with Dan. I don't stand in line for anyone but maybe a Queen or King ..

uhhhhhhhhh can we get one of those Dan? I'll take 2 to go ......

Just hope Charlie abdicates or dies early and William becomes king and then he can be one of your younger men!

I bet your ballot didn't get around to mention the two different socialist groups. Sorry to hear.

Hmm....I didn't realize that I was in a debate in the political forum.

I thought we were talking about GeniuSxBoY's exciting evening.

Funny how people seem to forget that Russia was once known as the U.S.S.R. ( Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics )

How well did socialism work out for them, by the way?

Any system can "work", any system can fail.

Socialism has never worked. But it doesn't stop anyone from thinking that their " plan " will be the one that will work.

Just for the record...I don't think either candidate is the best person to run the country.

We simply have no other choices.

Hey the man might be our next President. When the Pope came to Denver years ago, I wished I had made an effort to see him.
I want to look him straight in the eyes to see if he knows.
I want to look the Dali Lama straight in the eyes too.

good one.. the same way it works for everyone else.. everyone always thinks the grass is greener or the neighbor has it better.. I say "you want to live in a socialist country, then go to one.. But DON'T try to change our country!"

I agree ..

Winx .. yes, it would be nice if we could just talk about his evening, but mentioning a political candidate as his highlight a week before the elections? Not gonna happen

Like I said .. glad he had fun
