ick! get some dessicant from home depot & put it in a room with your moist stuff. it'll draw the moisture out & dry them safely. spray lots of mold/germ disinfectant like lysol or oust in the air & wear a surgical mask or hepa half mask if you can. mold spores can really mess you up!

Yeah....I've had to buy 2 dehumidifiers from Lowes and they aren't enough...I'll use the mask next time. Just didn't think it was gonna be so bad this past weekend.

I found several containers that still had water in them and the water was black!!!!

REALLY bad!!!

Mold can cause serious illness.

Need to wear proper personal protection equipment.

I'm tossing almost everything, but I'm having to inventory stuff so I have to open everything and rummage as I toss. It's all being done outside, but it seems to have gotten to me anyway....

But....I'm a tough guy....It'll get better....

Here is a helpful tip...I am the operations manager for a bottled water facility and we use this all the time. For mold prevention.

Scrounge up a pesticide sprayer... and fill it with tap water and add about a shot glass of bleach. Set it to its finest mist position and spray everything that got wet. Kills mold, mildew and bacteria instantly.

If the feeling crappy continues...hit the minor emergency clinic (I learned my lesson when my house flooded)...sure the check up will cost about $90 but the perscription for mold related upper respiritory infection cost like $4. Soooo worth it and it won't just go away....your lungs are dark warm and damp...the perfect place for mold growth.
