Actually i saw ac test done on cable those two guys who test things blow up stuff - they took 25 Tbrushes and left themin the bathroom for a month then tested for fecal material and they all had it - ewwwwwwww!!! but were talking microscopic amounts and yes the nano areosols can land on things if the seat is up when flushing so its good to keep it down although again i have never in 60 yrs gotten sick off of it nor other family members thats the point i think 20/20 was trying to make.

I've heard not to put toothbrushes on a shelf over the toilet because when you flush, the bacteria will rise to the toothbrush. *thinking, thinking, THINKING here* Who in their right mind would do that anyway? Besides, I don't think I've seen a household bathroom that had the chomperbrush holder installed OVER the potty. |

They use pretty toothbrush cup style holders and put them on there. |

But, you gotta admit, Winx...that's gotta be some really NASTY POO to waft from the potty bowl all the way up to a toothbrush, right? *looks around...where's Cottenelle tonight?* |

Yuk!!! One time I had opened a can of peas and put the peas in the microwave. When I was serving it, I saw a cockroach in 3 pieces in the peas. I started to dry heave. |

HMMMMMMMM, I've heard about running them through the dishwaser too.
Me, I just soak it in peroxide for a few mins. What do you do if a "friend" needs to borrow it??? |

my microwave would probably melt it
I use peroxide on my toothbrush daily and change my toothbrush once or twice a month I know they say 3 months but that's too long in my book also boiling water will kill the germs and don't store it in the bathroom no matter how much you clean, (and I do)... it's the worse place to keep a toothbrush... |

I tried it once.... it was still uneatable....
