I am all for it. I myself have been training in MMA for most of my life and am looking to fight in a local event.

I'm for MMA.

Against UFC. It is a horrible representation of what the sport is about as far as image is concerned.

I was raised in a fighting school. Kyojushinkia karate'. My Dad taught for 21 years...I took formal classes for 16....many years of teaching womans self-defence and rape crisis prevention classes.

If two trained atheletes want to step in and go for it...I think it is a good thing. When it is a couple of idiots who played football or baseball in high school and think that they are warriors years later.....I have no respect for that. Those are most often the same fools who wil fight an untrained amature or smack around a lover in order to stroke thier ego.

With me...if you are gonna get respect for throwing down...Fight someone that has good odds of kicking your ass...not fighting someone who isn't a challenge.

I realize that the guys who like beating thier women or kids wil not agree with me.

I absolutely love it.

It's very interesting to see two different fighting styles pinned against one another. And...well I'm a fan of the violence. I'm kind of bummed out that UFC bought out Pride, because I liked the brutality of that more.

You should watch some Pancrase fighting...Far more brutal than any of the weak assed American leagues.

Just calling it as I see it.

The opposite end of the spectrum is CatFighting...where they recruit strippers from Cali to fight in Mexico....got some of those videos too....They recruit with the stipulation of "NO previous fighting experience"

Pride was based out of Japan.

I've seen a few female cage fights, they're kind of boring too.

Indeed Pride was based out of Japan however, Japanese Pancrase definitely has the brutality and intellectual edge as far as viscious fights go. Just my opinion.
