Does the difference in salary make the difference in power in a relationship? i think it does - if the person earning the higher income has tendencies to be controlling and seek power. otherwise, i doubt it'd matter. |

It shouldn't and doesn't in a healthy relationship. My sister is married and her husband makes significantly more money than her and it doesn't affect the balance of power. My ex, who was a total a$$, definitely held all the power after I quit working and used it to be mean.
