It's only a piece of paper; what's more important is personal commitment to another person, and reciprocation of that.

I have encountered women who have instantly sparked the thought "Wow! I want to marry her!" in me.. where does that come from? Doesn't matter really, most likely someone has beaten me to it. :]

Oh well.. maybe one day I'll get to know one of those women well enough to tell her that instead of just thinking it; if not in this life, in the next.

Talking about the next life. The only way I'd talk to my ex now would be through a medium. bigsmile

Somehow, the words 'afterlife' and 'marriage' seem to be linked.

Like knowing that there is quicksand, without the urge to find out how deep it is.

I really don't have any intention of getting married at this point.

That's not to say that someone couldn't change my mind. :-)

actually if you are speaking of the christian bible

no you will not be with your wife when you die

if so what of those that had a spouse die and remarry
which will they be if so

just a thought

but it is in there somewhere but can not recall exact location

be well

with divorce so easy to get

marriage only good for the lawyers

TRULY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSSflowerforyou
I WAS DIVORCED RIGHT B4 MY 18TH ANNIV.SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND TOO,AND I CAN CALL OR SEE HER, BUT SOMETIMES I THINK IT WOULDVE BEEN EASIER IF SHE HAD PASSED AWAY BECAUSE OF THE PAIN IT SOMETIMES CAUSES WHEN I DO SEE OR TALK TO HER

Our daughters are only 15 and 18 and are grieving something terrible. I am doing everything that I know how to do to help them deal while I myself have to go through all of his stuff. He was my best friend also.
