My ex of 3 yrs had a NAVY pinning ceremony. He sent an invitation (via email) to the people he "cared" about, such as his family (kids, siblings, etc), colleagues, and me. The "funny" thing is that he also invited (and right before my name)his current lover. I called him to decline the invitation and I asked him WTF was he thinking, and he said he did it out of politness...... Watcha ya'll think?

He probably did it just to get a reaction from you, or to let you know he had a new girlfriend.

politeness doesn't mean caring I can assure you he wasn't being polite. we have no children together, we have been apart for 3 years....he did not do it out of politness.

he may have just been proud that he was being "pinned" and wanted you to know, not expecting you to come. bragging i suppose.
