Great words. Thanks E. It is sad that people can not look past the colour of a persons skin or there religion. Sometimes I wish people could see through the eyes of a child. Cause through there eyes people are the same.

Great words. Thanks E. It is sad that people can not look past the colour of a persons skin or there religion. Sometimes I wish people could see through the eyes of a child. Cause through there eyes people are the same. When my kids were little they actually ASKED point blank about other people..."why is that man's skin black" for example (when the UPS man delivered a package.) In front of the person they'd asked (cuz they weren't discreet in asking) I'd just tell them it was because God made it that way and wasn't it nice (and that was all it took to fully answer!) Nobody ever got bent about the question OR answer and given that both of my kids have or are or are currently dating "interracially" -I guess that's all it takes to end stupid bias...honesty and "no big deal" attitudes. Let's ALL get on that train, eh?

Let's ALL get on that train, eh? Yes, kids are going to ask. They are still learning and trying to figure things out. My son asked me when he saw somebody on the television. I had this book that I was given about different races that was made for a child. It was a REALLY good book. I did not really need the book, because my son is THE most compationate 5 year old that you could ever meet. But we read the book. And the next time we went out side and he saw a person of a different race he hugged them. It was sweet I thought. But it brought up another lesson on not hugging strange people....lol.
