The guy I'm most impressed with (and I RARELY say this about any WWE wrestler) is Kofi Kingston. From what little I've seen of him, he has a wrestling style as unique as that of the original Tiger Mask. Overall, though, I miss the old WWF, circa 1997-98.frown

It use to be Hulk Hogan, then Chris Beniet, then John Cena.
now none because wrestling got gay.

Well, if anyone goes back as far as I can remember with big time wrestling, my all-time favorite has always been Haystacks Calhoun... huge guy... dressed in farmer's coveralls... LOL... I'm talking 1960-something...

Did a Google image search:

Late in his life, Calhoun owned a little chihuahua, which tragically died when he rolled onto into while sleeping.

I swear I didn't make that up.

Calhoun was stricken with greif and guilt about that for the rest of his days before he died of diabetes in his mid-50s around 1989 or 1990.

Mick Foley.

Roddy Piper.

Terry Funk.

Guys like that. I liked Benoit, but can't get over the horrible way he ended his life and his families... I haven't watched much since then.

I know what you mean...when I watch old WCW footage circa 1996 of Benoit and Woman arguing nose to nose, I get this sick feeling in my stomach.

i see it ass its non of the world buisness hell be judged like all other men, and the Bible says all sins are the same "bad".
it is really sick by human standards but i seriously doubt it was "roid Rage" thats a totally unproven phenomenon people in body building use em all the time and i never once heard them say they get roid rage and it is just a theory.

I completely agree with you. It wasn't roid rage, the media took that route because they're obsessed with heaping dung on the business. An autopsy was done on Benoit, and these are the facts, Benoit had advanced dementia. His brain was shriveled like a cabbage, doctors compared it to the brain of a 70-year old (Benoit was in his early-40s).

What caused the dementia was 10 years of undiagnosed concussions. When someone suffers a serious concussion and that concussion goes untreated, a hematoma forms. A hematoma is a pocket of damaged tissue that absorbs blood, and as that absorbed blood causes it to stretch and expand, it further ruptures surrounding tissue. This can lead to a number of psychological alterations in the personality of the individual. When Benoit started in the business, he was widely seen as a shy, quiet kid (although these were observations made by his family members, and therefore may have been biased). At the time of his death, Benoit was a vicious bully, and was known for taking part in hazing rituals on new guys backstage.

The whole Benoit situation disturbs me more because if his behavior was marked by a string of concussions, imagine how many hundreds of wrestlers could be in the same boat? Wrestling is a competitive business, no doubt about it. When you suffer something like a concussion, and if you're physically capable, you go out there and you wrestle the next night, because any amount of time off could endanger your position and future earning potential.
