When we as Christians are truly born again,
we are still IN the world.....
but we are no longer OF the world!!!

In fact, we DON'T WANT TO BE OF THE WORLD ANY LONGER.............
simply because our hearts have changed......our lives are no longer the same....and therefore we no longer have a DESIRE for the things of the world.

As born again Christians,
Our time NOW becomes spent in God's Presence,
out of our Great Love for the Lord.

That is where our heart truly LONGS to be...
in His Presence and doing things to please God...cause again of the change made in our lives.

But if we as christians, continue to love and act like the world?

Then we need to do a heart check ...and find out why........otherwise we may become a stumbling block to the very people we are witnessing to.

Spoken in Love..casue I felt in my spirit this needed to be said.

God CHANGES US, is the message we as christians, should be presenting to the world.

Eckankar use to teach that same thing.
(probably still does teach it)

That we are in the world but not of it.

flowerforyou

I totally believe that of myself. I am a spiritual being having a human experience. I'm not really from here. I'm on an adventure.

We are playing the earth game. flowerforyou

I believe that the world is spirit and that 'god' is ominiscient.

Christians telling me that the world is not of the spirit is no different from my telling them that Christ is not God.

I worship the spirit which is of this world. It's the only spirit there is. It is the creator and pervader of all things.

Call it what you will.

But to reject the natural world as being ungodly is to reject God IMHO.

You can't show disrespect for the natural world and claim to respect God because they are one in the same.

This is where religions clash big time.

I might also add that even the Bible says that God created the world and saw that it was GOOD!

So it's my own personal view that anyone who teaches that the world is not of God and claims to respect the Bible is seriously confused.

The Bible is self-inconsistent and totally contradicting gobbledygook writen by egotistical men who were determined to shove their bigoted male-chaunvanistic views onto others using the pretense that they spoke for God.

Writing the Bible was the most demonic act of mankind ever. It spreads hate for nature, and nature is God.

Christians hate God IMHO. They worship the ego of man. devil

It saddens me to see so many people who have been blinded by such hatred of God.

So you believe it is wrong to love the world? Why? If you hate the world are you not hating a magnificent manifestation of Prime Source?

What ingratitude you must have for the earth and the world which has been provided to you to live and breathe and learn the lessons of life and death and love.

Love the spiritual part of you but love the manifested part too. Be thankful for your life.

If you hate the world and hate being here so much, then why did you come? Why don't you just kill yourself or sacrifice yourself for your cause and end your suffering fleshy sinful life?

Be grateful for your life. You have no idea how many spirit forms are waiting to be able to acquire a physical body and experience the earth incarnations and live life here on the leading edge of the expansion of the universe.

While it may not be good to be too attached to third density existence, be grateful for the adventure.

God CHANGES US, is the message we as christians, should be presenting to the world.

:heart::heart::heart:

If there were any truth to that then why would the Christians need you to tell them that?

With all due respect MorningSong the whole thesis is a bit oxymoronic.

If God changes people then they should be changed and know what to do.

Religious people always talk about "Following God" but they all seem to have a different idea of what that means. huh

If they were all truly consistent in what they believed it meant to "Follow God" they might actually get someone's attention. The fact that they are all pushing and shoving in different directions, "in the name of God", implies that they have no single divine guidance at all but rather they are just individuals, each with their own fantasy.

They can't even agree on what their doctine says.

In truth, should we not just laugh at the protestants as being the biggest joke of all?

They protested against the ulimate authority of the Church as it at least tried to establish as single view of what God might actually want.

The rebelled and rejected the Church, the body of Christ.

Then they all went off and formed a myriad of various demoninations, all of which have their own opinions of what God wants.

The Catholic Church calls them "Paper Popes". They preach their own personal views of what they believe that God wants.

Yet isn't that ironic?

For it was a rebellion against the very idea than any 'man' or 'woman' should speak for God. Only the Holy Spirit speaks for God to the individual.

That was the very basis of Protestantism. No one speaks for God. Only the Holy Spirit can speak to an individual. This is why they rebelled against the Pope and left Catholicism in the first place.

Now what do we have today but a bunch of Holy Roller Protestants claiming to speak for God? Telling us what God wants from us, and what he expects from us?

Isn't that the very self-destruction of what Protestantism stood for in the first place?

The religion is a train wreck.

If they stick to their guns and go back to their original rebellious attitude that no man or woman should speak for God but only the Holy Spirit can do that, then they must also confess that the pagans and pantheists who believe that the Holy Spirit speaks to them through the manifestations and elemental powers of this world must also be "Following God".

Protestantism has become a self-defeating religion with every Paper Pope pronouncing their own personal opinions as the "Word of God".

This is where it gets truly disgusting MorningSong. And I don't mean to imply that you are disgusting. Not at all. I fully understand that you are attempting to share something that you feel very strongly about. I just feel that you're going about it all the wrong way.

Instead of demanding that eveyone else experience the very same connection to the Holy Spirit you might have, you should recognize that everyone may interact with the Holy Spirit in their own way.

I feel that I am totally in touch with the Holy Spirit. But I'm also fully aware that this is indeed a personal experience.

It can be shared without forcing it onto others.

A good friend of mine recently emailed me with concern about how much I disbelieve that the Bible is the word of God. This friend was not attempting to convert me, but was merely voicing a concern that I might at least consider that the Biblical view of God might have merit for some people. Now I might add that this person was not a holly roller. He wasn't suggesting how I should believe, but rather that I should show a little more tolerance for the things that other people find value in.

I fully understand his concern. And I confess that my intolerance toward the doctrine does indeed stem from the various individuals who claim that it is the only word of God.

That's the attitude right there that ruins it completely.

This is what ruined it for the Protestants and why they rebelled againsts the Catholic Church.

But what have the Protestants done? They've come full circle to where they are making every attempt to become Paper Pope in their own right and be the "God Police" for everyone else.

I tell you the the Holy Spirit resides in me. And if I find magick in the power of a tree it is because this is where God has inspired me to look. And she has inspired me to write rhapsodic poetry for her and chant to her my gratitue in prayer.

Those who claim that I'm rejecting God or worshiping a devil are speak empty words. They do not speak for the Holy Spirit. For if they did they would know better than to say such things.

Why do you feel the need to tell Christians what they must be and how they must behave?

Why do you feel they need a Paper Pope?

Where's your rebellious spirit MorningSong? Have you lost your desire to protest against the body of Christ in the Catholic Church?

If you feel that a Pope is required you should abandon Protestantism and return to the Catholic Chruch and allow the Pope to speak for God.

You should return to becoming a meek and humble servant of the lord instead of a rebellious Protestant who protests against the body of Christ, only to become a voiciferous opinionated Paper Pope.

Let the Holy Spirit do her thing.

Have a little faith that she can handle her own creation. flowerforyou

Abra....christians are not perfect...just saved.

And all christians are at many different levels in their spiritual growth.

Some christians are in spiritual diapers ....
some are in training pants...
some are just learning to walk in the faith....
some are even rebellious....
and some are a bit more mature.

But then you have some christians, for instance , that are still in the nursey .... when they should already be way past training pants.....
and may require a gentle push out of the nursery...in order that they may grow up.

But NONE have arrived yet...
meaning...God ain't done with any of us .

Yes....christians are saved....but after we are saved, God still does the cleaning up and perfecting in all our lives....until He finally completes that good work that He has begun in all of us....to where one day, we will all finally become a pure reflection of God Himself ..the One in Whose Image we were all made to be like in the first place.

Hope this helps explain the many "different" kinds of christians out there.flowerforyou:heart:flowerforyou

Not at all. It just reinforces my initial understanding that Christians are truly nothing more than individual opinionated humans who try to pass of their opinions as being the word of God. laugh

I'm glad your 'saved' MorningSong.

That's nice. flowerforyou

I must have been 'saved' before I was ever born into this world because there was never a time when I felt lost. But I was mislead by people who think they speak for God but who, in reality, have no clue what they are talking about.

Thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil because there was never a time when I was naught, and there will never be a time when I will cease to exist.

This is who I AM MorningSong. flowerforyou

Paul wanted to make clear that even if an angel, even an exalted angel such as Gabriel or Michael, were to preach a different gospel, the curse of God would be upon him. Moreover, Paul was aware that Satan himself could masquerade as an angel of light. Indeed, by this cunning he had led astray many sincere believers by their pure devotion to Christ (2 Cor. 11:3-15).

What is the fate of one who thus perverts the gospel of Christ, be it Paul, any other human teacher, or even a messenger straight from heaven itself? The answer is given in two words: anathema esto , "let him be accursed!"

To be anathematized then means far more than to be excommunicated.[4] If means nothing less than to suffer the eternal retribution and judgment of God. We can gauge something of what this curse must have meant to Paul's readers by looking at a curse in one of the documents found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. Here it is said that the

"Levites shall curse all the men of the lot of Satan saying: `Be cursed because of all your guilty wickedness! May He deliver you up for torture at the hands of the vengeful Avengers! May He visit you with destruction by the hands of all the Wreakers of Revenge! Be cursed without mercy because of the darkness of your deeds! Be damned in the shadowy place of everlasting fire! May God not heed when you call on him, nor pardon you by blotting out your sin! May he raise his angry face toward you for vengeance!'"[5]

Paul did not pronounce this tremendous condemnation lightly. But neither did he hesitate to unleash the full fury of his righteous indignation when he was convinced that the integrity of the gospel was at stake...........

Why do you feel it necessary to disassociate yourself from the earth? That is totally absurd. This to me is one of the most fundamentally disturbing aspects of Christian indoctrination. For one thing, it can never be successfully achieved so you are only setting yourself up for strife and failure. You are a creature of Gaia (mother earth). All you are doing here is disconnecting yourself from the true nature of humanity.

However I can understand at least in part why the religion itself insists on taking this stance and worse yet, cramming it down the throats of others. It theoretically relieves you of all responsibility to this planet you so willingly feed from. Instead of acknowledging this and directly paying your respects where it is rightfully due, you insist on turning your back on this world, safe in the understanding that you will be leaving it to go live up in the clouds someplace with your "creator". All you have accomplished now after a couple thousand years is laying the intellectual foundation for today's ecological crisis what with your "be fruitful and multiply" approach. Unlimited reproduction, over-population, and the subjugation of nature.
