Ain't nothing wrong with Venison. I have an uncle who hunts, and his son usually gets a deer once a year as well.

I should have taken them up on it when they offered me some last time.

it helps when you can't afford beef...

How are you doing tonight?

I am still a bit shaky over Friday's events. Finally strong enough to get up and eat something.

I'm doing pretty good. Nothing traumatic anyway.

So any idea what happened on Friday? If you can't afford beef, I'd guess you didn't go see a doctor either.

I didn't pay for the doctor.

I will tell you about it later.

But I did see the doctor on Thursday.

You see, just because I am broke don't mean diddly. I make sure to pay my health insurance premiums.

Nicole still has her health insurance too. Like I would stop paying for her care.... What kind of mother do you think I am? Geesh...winking rofl rofl rofl

Your mothering technique never entered into it. Glad to hear that you got some attention over it.

well I've obviously missed some of the conversation, I'm not following this.

That being said, is this not a beautiful fall day!?! Living in the Glacial Hills is cool, the trees rival anything New England can throw out this time of year!!!

How are things in Wichita? (yeah, I remembered without looking at your profile!)

Easiest way to make Bierocks:

1 can Pilsbury Grands Biscuts
1 lb ground beef (browned)
1 slice american cheese
Handful of shredded cabbage

Flatten two of the biscuts into large circles (try not to bust through dough). Layer a sloce of cheese cover with some meat and cabbage. Take second biscut, cover and pinch the ends.

Bake according to directions for biscuts (I think its 350 for 15-18 minutes)

I box biscuts makes 4 bierocks, you'll have left over cabbage, so get some carrots to make coleslaw the next day.

Get the Grands biscuts, they are bigger and hold more. Don't try to seal one biscut over, it just breaks open in cooking. The two biscut method is great, and when they are done, they look like little pies.

I am trying to go authentic. Without pre-made dough.

But I am getting the gist of what bierrocks are. Sound yummy! And filling....

Filling definitely, and pretty tasty. I just remember the church camp I went to had a habit of initiating new counselors by slipping them a beirock with a sponge in it. I've never been able to trust the darn things.

Holy Christmas my bierrocks were amazing!

I made them with 1 lb beef and 1 lbs hot italian sausage 1/4 head of cabbage and 1/2 onion. made the dough myself by hand, didn't let the yeast rise, but it came out nice.

Unlevened bierocks??? With the sausage and onion they sounded really good. Thanks for inviting me over for supper...grumble grumble grumble

That's okay, I made ham and cheese omeletes, very nice.

Sorry, didn't know if you lived in Wichita.

So apparently I can make bierrocks that are kosher for Passover.

I really enjoyed them though. I made 7 and at 3.

I froze the rest.

Gonna have one for lunch.

Still have tons of the filling. Gonna wrap it into a tortilla. Not enough to make more dough for.

Next time, if you are in Wichita, look me up and I will make tons of bierrocks for you to eat and take home, okay?

I will make plenty of bierrocks to go around. (now that I know how to make them!)

Glad to hear they came out okay. You get the day off of class today?

No. I switched to night classes. It is easier for me.

I am about to go out. You still awake?

Didn't know you could do that.

So what's your new schedule?
