I agree Thomas. I saw him on Meet the Press & he made a poor showing. I stopped considering him that day, but he has got my attention again. Tim Russert was tough, & maybe Paul was having a bad day.
Nader is a has been I fear. He has run to many times without making any headway. Bill Ingram is unknown & hasn't a chance in hell, but I like what he has to say on his website. I really am undecided. |

No Thomas,I said what I meant. What are you trying to say? I'm saying that voting independent, it is most likely going to count towards Obama. Not too many people deny this. I've always heard that if you vote Independent, you took a vote away from the Democrats. |

No Thomas,I said what I meant. What are you trying to say? I'm saying that voting independent, it is most likely going to count towards Obama. Not too many people deny this. I've always heard that if you vote Independent, you took a vote away from the Democrats. Well, that what I thought, but it seems like on the news the other night they were saying that it could be more beneficial to Obama. I've also heard the same on talk radio a few times. I guess you can only believe half of what you hear though. |

for me...Colin Powell is a bit more palatable...but...I ALWAYS vote pro-life...and...unlike the General...I CANNOT compromise my beliefs...it would really matter who was running against Colin Powell...I believe he's pro-choice...so...my answer is..." I couldn't pull the trigger [ a little military lingo for ya' ] for someone who is pro-choice...I have a question since we're injecting race into this..." If Bernie Sanders of Vermont,a proud and unwavering Socialist, and the second most Liberal in the Senate...right behind Barry...was on Meet the Press as the nominee instead of Obama, would Colin Powell have endorsed him ?...I doubt it...so...does that make Colin Powell a racist in reverse ?...I mean...Sanders and Obama are one in the same ...socially speaking...

Winx...in my heart...and...in my soul...it will always be an issue...I was born and raised a Catholic...I NEVER miss church...I'm 53 years old and cannot change what I feel about this...I'm sorry...but...I just can't change...as far as changing Roe vs Wade...that's my intention at all...I just can't vote for someone who agrees with that decision...thats all...

There was another thread going on along these lines a few days back. It's clear when you post in honesty on here, people just aren't ready for that big of a dose of reality. Most prefer to sugarcoat it and say what they think most would like to hear. Blacks are on record saying "In my gut, I feel that McCain would be the best Candidate, but because Obama is black, that's who I'm voting for". |

I've read on these boards support for Gen. Powell, often from posters trying to prove they aren't racist. "I'd vote for Colin Powell if he were running" is the typical refrain. It's sad that people think they have to prove they're not racists, but I digress...
