I agree Thomas. I saw him on Meet the Press & he made a poor showing. I stopped considering him that day, but he has got my attention again. Tim Russert was tough, & maybe Paul was having a bad day.

for me...Colin Powell is a bit more palatable...but...I ALWAYS vote pro-life...and...unlike the General...I CANNOT compromise my beliefs...it would really matter who was running against Colin Powell...I believe he's pro-choice...so...my answer is..." I couldn't pull the trigger [ a little military lingo for ya' ] for someone who is pro-choice...I have a question since we're injecting race into this..." If Bernie Sanders of Vermont,a proud and unwavering Socialist, and the second most Liberal in the Senate...right behind Barry...was on Meet the Press as the nominee instead of Obama, would Colin Powell have endorsed him ?...I doubt it...so...does that make Colin Powell a racist in reverse ?...I mean...Sanders and Obama are one in the same ...socially speaking...

This is what I don't understand. The next President is not going to change Roe vs. Wade. So...I don't understand why it is an issue. To me, economics is the primary issue.

It's clear when you post in honesty on here, people just aren't ready for that big of a dose of reality. Most prefer to sugarcoat it and say what they think most would like to hear. Blacks are on record saying "In my gut, I feel that McCain would be the best Candidate, but because Obama is black, that's who I'm voting for".

I've read on these boards support for Gen. Powell, often from posters trying to prove they aren't racist. "I'd vote for Colin Powell if he were running" is the typical refrain. It's sad that people think they have to prove they're not racists, but I digress...
