Topic: On the tip of my tongue... | |

You know how it feels when a word is on the tip of your tongue, but you
can’t quite think of it? The frustration and irritation of the situation is so… ugh, I can’t think of the word! [I know, I’m so witty.] But seriously, we all know how it feels to reach for a word that is just out of our mind’s grasp. Personally, it makes me extremely peevish. Call me Goldilocks, but second best simply won’t do; that elusive word would have been just right. Sometimes though, when we least expect it, the word will come barreling full speed into our brains like a little kid through the front door on a summer’s evening. It just pops into our minds, even though we had given up seeking it hours (or days) ago. It happens most often when I’m asleep: all of a sudden, I’m awake, sitting bolt upright in bed, mouth half-open, more pleased than I should be to have remembered the word. What a great feeling. |

LoL...You know what's even worse JFB when you're trying to explain
something and this comes up OR say something like "When I come across that I'll send it to you" then a few days or weeks later you come accross that email or CD or answer AND YOU CAN'T remember WHO you were talking to... I hate when that happenes... |

A light bulb exploded in my head: finally! My ethos on attraction, put
to written word (albeit a made-up one): sapiosexual (seɪ-pi-oʊ-sɛk-ʃuəl), noun 1. A person attracted to or aroused by intelligence and its use. [Latin sapiens, wise or intelligent + sexualis, relating to the sexes] —— Oh yeah. Uhuh. That fits me to a T. I love a man with a brain. [My heart is actually speeding up as I write this.] In fact, I love a man who uses words that put the SAT’s to shame and who talks about things that I don’t understand. Because he’s going to engage me. He’s going to keep me interested. He’s going to show me new worlds. He will help me grow and learn. And I will do the same for him. |
