I want to know the answer to this question...Can men and women be "just friends" ? I am talking about 100% no attraction on both sides of the two sexes, male and female...what's your opinion? Of course... There can't be any attraction whatsoever though. B.T.W. Guys are really good at pretending that that's all they're about. Most guys say that they can only be friends... But there may just be other truths behind it. Is the guy extremely reluctant? Or passive (Agrees with whatever you say?) |

I know they can be.

it's totally possible, i have several guy friends and that's all they are- or ever will be- just friends.

I think it is possible as long as both sides agree to have a platonic relationship right from the start. If one of the two does not agree, it can complicate things.

i have a friend that i have known for 27yrs. i used to date him for a short time when i was a teen.. but i only see him as a very good friend and nothing more, so yea you can be friends, in fact i have several guy friends

Only if they are butt ass ugly. that doesn't rule out the possibility that they like you since you are higher on the ladder than they are |

Of course they can. Life would be kind of hard if you wanted to hump every man that crossed your path
Seriously, though, I think so. I mean, I had friends all through school that were guys, and never really even thought about any attraction that may or may not be there. That being said, I can be sort of aloof to that kind of thing quite often :/ |

I dont really know, I thought I knew, but I am pretty sure that I'm wrong. I have a friend in Tucson, he's my ex's best friend, well, when my ex and I broke up, this friend, we'll call him Carlos, (cuz thats his name, lol) would show up at my apt all the time, without calling. Whenever I needed a favor, he never said no. He would hang out with me and talk about relationships. It was cool, but I kinda felt weird. -Just so you know, I never want to get with Carlos, ever, it would be too weird- Then, one day, he calls me up, we are chatting and he says to me, "I have a question, if you and Josh would have never met, would you have ever gone out with me?" Ok, what am I supposed to say to that? NO? Of course not, so I lie and say sure, unfortunatly, I havent' spoken to him since. I know we would never happen. Soo, now I"m questioning our friendship. I dont know what to do.

Yes, it is possible, but I would say majority of the time, one or the other likes or liked the other person at one point or another. Ask anyone in a guy/girl relationship. Even though females would say they have NO attraction to her guy friend, I bet that guy still had or has an attraction to her.

YES it can be possible. I have friends that we're just STRICTLY friends BUT you cant rule out the possibility of being friends with someone and after so long of talking to them and venting with them you may catch feelings for (they for you)
just like I have friends who are JUST friends I also have friends who after so long of being Dr.Phil for them now are getting attached to me... its an even deal |

Don't see why it can't happen.
