As a breast cancer survivor I can't begin to stress the importance of self examinations and yearly checks..
And remember, even if you have had a partial or full mastectomy, check for lumps the same as you would for a self breast exam... |

As a breast cancer survivor I can't begin to stress the importance of self examinations and yearly checks.. And remember, even if you have had a partial or full mastectomy, check for lumps the same as you would for a self breast exam... My mother is also a survivor, I was raised to do monthly exams (have taught my daughters as well) and as soon as I was old enough I scheduled a mammogram. My son apparently also listened, because he tells his girlfriend all the time. Proudly supports breast cancer awareness, when asked why by his friends his reply is always the same...."we love the boobies, so we must protect the boobies". I kind of laugh, but he makes me proud. |

You should be proud of him as I am with my son...But my son is also very aware that men can get breast cancer too (which is on the rise) and because I have had it twice now he and his wife take turns doing the monthly exams for each other.....

Okay, I'm going to admit that I have been putting off getting my Mammogram for 4 months now. And it is now stressing me out so bad, that I'm having nightmares about it. I know I should go, but I am scared to death to find out the answer. I just don't have the guts to face what is ahead.

All I know, before she met him she didn't think it was needed. He has since educated her, as well as his friends. THAT'S MY BOY!!!!! |

I offer free breast exams everywhere I go....and I get treated like a freak for trying to save lives. I guess my friends are right....the Speedo ain't helping.
Seriously, get screened ladies. Every last damned insane one of you. Never too young or old. Take care of yourselves so that old dogs like me can lust after you...(Did I say that out loud?) I meant to say, Take care of yourselves so that you can enjoy the beauty of your lives and all the joys and sorrows that come with it. If I had breasts....I would be examining them everyday...I would never let cancer pass undetected....then again, I probably wouldn't make it out of the house being so fascinated with them. (It ain't easy being a guy) |
