Hi Everybody I FINALLY got the new toy I wanted. I took the other one with Vista back and found one with XP on it. Much happier! It's a different model but the same manufacturer. An Acer Travelmate.

O.. and you DID know that you can change the O/S on ANY comupter? in other words you COULD have kept that first "toy" and just changed the VISTA to XP.. in case ya didn't know

I wasn't happy with the machine either (Acer Aspire). I was afraid I'd break it. A bit on the flimsy side. The new new toy has a magnesium chassis and doesn't flex like the other one. I opted to get one with XP already on it because the only official disc I have is 2000 Pro.
