 that a co-worker of mine has died. Ten days ago he had a massive stroke, and now he is gone. I still can't believe that he is no longer with us. I couldn't help but cry for his family, they are devastated. He was ONLY 57 years young, and he had a heart of GOLD RIP Warren   How sad .. that's my age - life is fragile. Sorry for your loss |

I understand that he is in a much better place right now, and I also know that he would not have wanted to survive with the amount of brain damage that the doctor's said that he suffered from. With that said, it still does not make it any easier for the people that he has left behind. The people that cared about him the MOST.....

You have my deepest sympathies. Some people touch our lives deeply and your feelings towards this friend show your true heart. My Dad passed away totally unexpected at age 47. From that I learned there is nothing anyone can say to make things better. Just knowing you are surrounded by people who care helped me more than anything. My advice, dont forget his family. Remember important events in there lives, drop a note just to say Hi. If he has kids, take them to the park or McDonalds, bowling, anything. Spend time and let them talk, vent , grieve, whatever. You don't have to say anything, just be there. What hurt me the most was people were there only for a short time. Only my truest friends were still around a year later. There is so much his family will deal with in the coming years and you never know when they will be hit again with the grief, loss, and pain. It comes unexpectedly. Let yourself go thru the grieving process. In this day and age it is so comforting to know that there are people like you still out there that truly care. Hang in there!!

So sorry to hear!As for co worker.Alot of times our co workers do become just like our family.How nice for you to have this bond with person.
