I have been watching my neighbor's dog for the last 4 weeks, for free I might add, while she had hip surgery and was in rehab. It was originally supposed to be for only 3 weeks but stretched into 4, which I realized might happen, one never knows how quickly they will mend from these things, so, understandable. However, I wouldn't have known it would be an additional week if I hadn't contacted one of her sisters who were supposed to keep me updated, but never answered their phones when I called. One of them finally let me know last week my neighbor would be home today. Well, she came home, but she is not answering her door and is not answering her phone when I call. Someone has been with her all day. I am thinking she may need me to watch the dog a couple of additional days...my issue...why not ask me, I'd have done it, no problem. Ignoring me, not respecting my plans, my life, forcing me to do it is pizzing me off, Either she or one of her sisters could have asked me to watch the dog a couple of extra days, but noone has said a friggin word to me. My neighbor, who professes to love her little dog so dang much, has not even called to see how he is. I know he misses her, he keeps going to the front door wanting out...she lives just across the courtyard from me. I am pizzed, but more, I am hurt that once again, someone has proven to me no good deed goes unpunished, and I feel sorry for this little dog who has been away from his mom for so long.

Wow!!!!

So who are you ticked off at?

The poor owner of the dog who is only just home today from major surgery?

Or the sisters for not keeping you posted?

How terribly inconvenienced have you been with this dog?

Was it such a nightmare dog that your WHOLE life has been turned upside down?

Or is it you haven't been showered in gratitude for your heroic efforts in dog minding?

Why do a good deed if it is all about the thankyous?

Whaa???? noway Not about thank yous at all, it's about at least giving me the option of saying I would watch the dog additional days, rather than forcing me to..I do have things going in my life as well, and I think that would have been the courteous thing to do.
