I like to refrain from using the cutesy-cutesy language, as it's just creepy beyond belief. That goes double if that sort of stuff is used in public, too.

Are these things you'd be ok hearing from your date on a 1st date? I had a 1st date the other night and he called me all of the above along with a few others. Personally, it made me a little uncomfortable. 
 i call people Honey and Sweetie often
to hear that kind of thing on a first date 
only would bother me...
if ..... 
i really didn't care for him
or if he was making inappropriate advances

i get so tired of so many people out there
acting like zombies or robots 
with no warmth or affection....
I think that in the Light or < Darkness i should say > of the really bad things that go on... 
A little sweetness & kindness goes a long way

I don't think I would care for a first date calling me a pet name. Unless I'd been talking to him for months already...then there is more comfort with familiar behavior.
Was it someone you met here...flirted with online already? He may have just picked up from there in that case and thought you'd like it. |
