At 2pm today my daughter's Seargant picked her up. She is off to South Carolina in the morning for basic combat training in the Army. She won't get to visit until Christmas. I'm a mess! My only daughter so far away sigh

i know i miss my son when his mom comes and picks him up for her once a year visit and its only for two days

WOW!!! i cannot even imagine.. what an odd mix of emotions that must be.. pride at what she has become.. and fear for her safety.. and lonelyness for he leaving... im so sorry sweetie!! thats insane!! best of luck to you.. i am still lucky enough to have a MINIMUM of 11 years till i even have to think about it..

Sorry sweetheart I feel really bad for you,,, I was station at Ft.Jackson in 1981 and it isn't to bad a place and they will take care of her I promiss!!!!!
