if there is anything a person can do about the way healed breaks in bones hurt when the weather turns.

Pain killers do nothing. I thought that since it was just an ache, and not a current injury that was hurting, I would still work out on it.

But my lunch time power walk made it hurt so much more. I'm kinda not happy about missing my workouts today.

Not that I know of. Cold damp weather can really mess me up at times. Asprin helps a bit.

yoga-concentration... and pineapple, or ginger, cinnamon and pure coco if you can find it helps, but weather deals with pressure changes which come and go too fast for medicines to react to.

It's the barometric pressure on your joints & bones

Cold/Hot alternating baths should help

Bone pain is not a minor symptom for someone so young. My recommendation is going back to your Doctor ASAP and until he clears you to exercise I would pass on that. It is possible that your fracture never healed properly or that arthrites has set in, or a number of other much more serious problems includeing cancer and you will have a much better result with professional care than with out. The earlier you treat either the less the misery now and later in life. I am sorry you are in pain but alcohol will ultimately make it worse as your muscles that support the bones will be dehydrated and inflamation will be increased. You absolutely do not want to combine over the counter pain killers if you do decide to have a drink because it can cause serious damage to your vital organs. Drinking or useing over the counter medications can prevent medical care providers from doing corrective procedures for hours if infact you do have a current fracture which is more common than most people realize. Hope it turns out well. Feel better soon.

The alcohol was a JOKE! I know not to mix alcohol with medication. Come one. I'm not stupid!

As far as another fracture in the same location as the previous one, seems unlikely. Arthritis would be more likely at this point. As for not healing correctly, the doctor didn't want to listen to me. He seemed to think I wanted more pain killers. But the pain killers never worked, so why would I want more?

Since this happens infrequently, only with drastic weather change about twice a year, I'm not worried that much about it. I'm just shocked that I would power walk on it.
