Late one night i was playing guitar
while watching tv on the livingroom
rug when suddenly the door broke with
a terrible thud.

In ran the police in a lightening like
dash waving their guns one flashing his badge. we have a warrant and your under
arrest put your hands in the air if you
know whats best.

without a moment to spare i dropped my
guitar and threw my hands in the air
for fear of harm.

they handcuffed my hands tight behind
my back then threw me on the couch
flickity flash.

It happened so fast i was left in a
daze than slowly a voice came from out
of the haze.

"we know your selling drugs so don't
try to disclaim this, our informent sold
you out but we won't say what his name
is"

I couldn't believe the words that just
out of his mouth i said "i don't sell
drugs you must have the wrong house"

he looked at me with a snooty little
grin, he said "your not as smart as the
law you just can't win"

so i turned my head in anger and in full
disbelief and thought this guys is a moron
he must be the chief.

in the next room i heard things being
thrown in disarray then "call in the dogs
or we'll be here all day"

Amongst all the thumping and glass being
broken he grabbed me by the throat and
started to choke me.

"where is it hidden" he said snidely while
spitting "if you tell me right now you'll
spend less time in prison"

Then he let go of his grasp and i started
to gasp i thought if it weren't for these
handcuffs id be kicking your azz.

There isn't any drugs i started to say "i
haven't done drugs 20 yrs. to this day"
"you may not have done drugs 20 yrs. to
this day, but sellings a crime and for
this crime you'll pay"

i thought whats going on, what have i done
i was playing my guitar, i was having some
fun.

Than i looked out my window surprised
what i had seen my nieghbors carrying test
tubes and a big ole triple beam. they
loaded up the car and took off in a rush.

My blood started to boil i started to cus.
i said "where is thiswarrant your trying to serve i want to read it" this i
deserve.

he trudged across the floor in a angerly
pace,he pulled out the warrant and shoved
it in my face

as i read on i seen his disgrace i said
"this isn't my address you have the wrong place"

he said "we're the police we make no
mistakes now where are the drugs or we'll
bloody your face"

i said "you look like a fool and you won't
bloody me it's on the front of the house
it's plain to see"

he looked at the front of the house
surprised at what he had seen. he thought
about the trashed house, and about
treating me mean. he stood and he thought
god how could this be? this is #5 not #3.

Sir you are right this is a big mistake
we're suposed to be next door we got the
wrong house!

I felt kind of angry but mostly relieved
i said "what about my house this used to
be clean and what about my door you
splintered and splattered into matter
you'll pay for this along with your
battery"

"now i put up with your chokeing me and
humiliation long enough, now whether your
jock is to tight or i'll bet not full
enough. now get your men and your dogs you
no good louse.

i'll take you to court you quaint little
putz now get out of my house you must MUST MUST!!!!!!!

No, in fact 1000, it happens more than I care to say. I worked in forensics 7 years. Sadly enough, while there are some great people in law enforement, it still happens.
