Have a lady(ex) that still likes to talk over her problems, even though we went our separate ways. Yes, I do tell her I luv ya, but she also realizes, as my friend!!!

Yes, I tell one of my best friends I love him all the time. He's like family with a twist! If I die tomorrow I want my friends to know they were loved.

that's a little sad...

i love all of humanity!! except that little monkey

I really don't ever say those words, my mom is pretty much the only person likely to hear it coming from me.

:smile:If you have a best friend of the opposite gender do you say "I love you" even though it's not "in love"?

I say that to all of my friends.

It's sad that I don't say the words? My friends and family know I love them based on my actions alone. Saying the words don't mean a f*cking thing if you don't back them up with your actions.

What's sad is you passing judgment on someone you don't know the first thing about based on one comment. They know I love them more than words could say.

it's an opinion...no judgment was made about a person(You)

your extreme defensive posture on this topic is an indication of your inner turmoil......with saying "I love you"

For those exact words to come out of my mouth would take a lot. I take saying I love someone as having a lot deeper meaning than what I would feel to a very good friend. That I tell someone I feel they are my friend and they can depend on me as a true friend is a really big deal too. I make very few promises to people so when I can/do I stand by them. Do I treat the people who I like really well? Try to show them kindness, appreciation, or encouragement every day, check on them when they might be having it tough? You bet ya. But to tell someone I LOVE THEM that is a VERY BIG DEAL.

I tell my friends I love them all the time.

with my guy friends it's usually like a "guy hug" a quick pat on the back kinda hug... So you have to say it a certain way "I f'n love you, you f'tard"

No New Year's Day to celebrate
No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away
No first of spring
No song to sing
In fact here's just another ordinary day

No April rain
No flowers bloom
No wedding Saturday within the month of June
But what it is, is something true
Made up of these three words that I must say to you

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

No summer's high
No warm July
No harvest moon to light one tender August night
No autumn breeze
No falling leaves
Not even time for birds to fly to southern skies

No Libra sun
No Halloween
No giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring
But what it is, though old so new
To fill your heart like no three words could ever do

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart,
of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart,
baby of my heart

Yes, I tell my friends and family that I love them. Not casual friends, obviously, but my closest friends. None of them happen to be guys.
