really looking for someone?? or are you here just for the entertainment. I originally signed up because I was looking for someone. I had been through 3 really putrid LDR scenarios in 2006 and wanted to try to find someone closer. I signed up on JSH and started getting to know people, started posting a lot, interacting, making friends. Could not get the locals to talk to me. Kept posting, got to know more people. Figured out, after about 6 months, that, although this site was and is filled with great people, the best of any of the 12,992 sites I've tried, there is no one really compatible with me here. I love this place, the people, the sense of "home," the friends, the laughs, the support I've been offered when I'm down, the chance to do something helpful for friends thousands of miles away. I love that stuff. It means a lot to me. But two years later, the locals still won't talk to me. If I've learned nothing else, I've learned that the person I want to meet is simply not going to be found on a dating site. So I stick around for other reasons.
