Isnt obamas tax plan the one that will tax the rich higher and give a tax break to working families? How could anyone be against that?

How could anyone be against that? that is what I mean by regulated income...the classic strategy at election time of class warfare. A point to remember...if there is no chance for absolute failure, there is also no chance for blinding success. Legislating equality in income via taxes is a mechanism for insuring that there is no reward for risk-taking and innovation.

the downturn is due to a tight credit market. It is caused by, actually, all the idiots who lived on their credit cards and borrowed money that they could not pay back are the cause of the current financial turndown. anyone who is so stupid to get that deeply in debt, or get a mortgage that there was no way in heck that they could pay back displays their true inteligence....approximately that of a knat....and they will all vote dem in the hopes that the govt will bail their sorry butts out. That did play apart with a tanking economy, millions of jobs lost, house values dropping %40, unaffordable health care, 2 wars that were not run right, and no energy plan... Add deregulation to that.

I think there is a class war of the rich against the poor and this banking bail out sorta nixed all that 'let the free market work" argument out the window. It looks like people now get rewarded for failure at the expecne of the little guy.

it doesn't matter who get's elected taxes will be raised to pay off some of this 10 trillion debt that Bush has made Yes it was all Bush, the House and Senate didn't approve anything. The three branch system is a conspiracy. We are really living under a dictatorship.

Yep, the republicans "no tax and spend anyway" has worked out great. Dude, seriously....the person you are rooting for has an even more aggressive spending attitude than Bush did... Seriously, both these candidates just want to fuel the fire that's burn down our country...

Presidential elections are just a distraction. The electoral college chooses the president. People choose the electoral college. Why dont we do our jobs?

Uh people that dont think that just because you are successful means you should pay a higher percentage. I support flat tax thank you. Flat tax is a great idea. Cheers to that Oh, i got an idea, why don't we pull our troops out of everywhere, use them to secure our borders, do away with homeland security (cuz hey our military is back), and stop giving tax breaks to companies that outsource. Lets see....that alone just saved us over a trillion dollars a year... What should we do with that??? (Would be nice to pay off the deficit huh?) Then we could start backing our dollar again and watch its value grow (federal reserve has got to go, or at least be audited). That would save our economy (eventually), our medical crisis, and our fuel crisis...

I dont think spending tax money within our own borders is such a bad idea it creates jobs and improves the infrastructure. I think we need to pull out of these bankrupting wars and see if we can cuta deal with the UN as far as peacekeeping goes

I'm sorry man the problems we face today go back further than 1 1/2 years come on..The housing bust, the lost jobs, the economy and the energy crisis was caused by the last 1 1/2 yrs..I don't think so...

And with that and the bail out, we have debts to pay. Taxes will be raised to pay that off.
