Is the hardest or toughest thing you have been able to forgive that someone did to you?

I forgive everyone IF they ask.

I forgive them in my head for my own sanity way before they ever ask me though.

I can't say anything was tough, people do things for their own agendas, and it doesn't much concern you usually. Unfortunatly you are usually collateral damage.

I had to forgive my father for never being there for me a year or more after he died...I sat by his grave and did so that was the first time I cried because of his death..

Yes, it is the hardest thing I have to finish. Obviously, I haven't finished yet. Its not all that easy.

Still working on this one...forgiving myself for believing that I wasn't "enough" for people who I now understand would always find me lacking no matter what I did!

I surely understand this one as well..my "ex" husband I was never "saved" enough for him...we were heavily into church and if I ever fell for one second he never let me get over it..some christian people tend to be a wee bit judgemental for my notion...not all mind you but some...

I had to forgive a friend of mine who ruined a friendship with another friend of mine. What happened was I left a message on the answering machine of the 1st friend and at the same time the buddy I was parting with was yelling in the background " I want to **ck your wife, and Adam does too!!" Somehow I forgave him for this. As for the other buddy, never talked to him since.

Forgiveness is a reflex for me. Nothing is so horrible that it can't be forgiven as far as I'm concerned. If you don't forgive, then you can't be healed.

That does not mean that I will leave the door open for further offenses, however. yours in Chaos, Scarlett

basically i give people every oppurtunity to prove me wrong, but once you have screwed me over(so to speak), then it gets awfully dicey.... but forgiveness is in my blood after all my mother is a minister

Is the hardest or toughest thing you have been able to forgive that someone did to you?

I forgave my ex husband from foreclosing the house taking the money to get an attorney and an appartment and destroying all my ids in order to destroy me.

I later found out he had liver cancer and i am moving on with my life i have forgiven him
