A song from 1975 called "Wildfire" by Michael Murphey. That songs makes me cringe just thinking about it! I agree. "Wildfire" is a very weak pop interpretation of one of the Texas horse legends. The flip side (I had the 45 to see what the fuss was all about - listened real close to the words - still wondering) was just as bad. It was a duet with John Denver on a real flaccid version of Hank Williams' "Mansion On The Hill." (Hank would've pulled a gun on them for it). |
