Trickling through our hands,
Taking our breathe away,
An ocean rippling through our sands.

Each given the same,
Grains of sand in an hour glass,
How much is wasted,
Reliving in the past.

Contemplating change,
Thinking of tomorrow,
In a hospital bed,
Time you can not borrow.

An ocean brings in the tides,
Time is tossed and lost,
A rippling effect left,
Devastating in its cost.

As loved ones hold in,
What they long to often say,
Thinking they have more time,
Time ticks and tocks away.

Hands move quickly,
Breathes are drawn, exhale,
Speak those "I Love Yous,"
Take a chance, inhale.

Sail with the winds,
The ocean may be vast,
Believe in possibilities,
Go ahead, take a cast.

Be as a fisherman,
Out amongst the wave,
Not counting each second,
Living for each and every single day.
