here i am, getting ready to take the admitions test college, and im wondering if i have lost my mind. 11 years and a few jobs, and im wondering if i will be able to handle the class load and the costs and working to boot. anyone else done this? i was an alright student, as long as i like the teacher. im just worried that i wont do good enough to get the degree that i want. im going after an associate degree first then if that works out im going after my Bacholers degree in network securities.

You can TOTALLY do this! I've "gone back" to school a couple of times and I did get my Bachelors and later an MBA...am considering doing this AGAIN very soon to faciliate a career change that would fufill a lifelong ambition. I'm so proud of you for taking this step...be BOLD and know you can succeed!

I've gone to school full time while working full time. If it's something you really want to do, you'll find a way to do it. Good luck! I'm thinking of going back for my masters soon.

Congratulations Thumper! I worked in post secondary for 14 years and cannot tell you the wonderful journey you are embarking on.

The education is only the tip of the iceberg. The personal growth and sense of empowerment that I saw in mature students coming to school after long breaks away from formal education is nothing short of inspiring!

Enjoy every moment of it!

I went to college when I was 32 and it rocked. It's a nice feeling to be doing something for you and not for the boss or the company.

Plus you get that whole suetow - intellectual thing going and your friends seem dumber than ever.

Not to mention the fact that young college girls love older men with life experience and a job that pays real money.

Get your school supplies and a box of condoms...you’re going to need them ...Yeah Baby!!!!!

Advice : Pick a major that you like not that your crazy ex wife likes...um that’s old advice for me …. never mind.
