fishermen make alot of money!! My cousins used to do it in Rupert......when they werent logging. Now that the logging company went belly up......they arent so rich anymorenoway

Yah! Follow the leader. The James River Plant bought up several square miles of vacant land, put in trees and irrigation. They harvest thousands of their own trees each year, and do as they please.

Moral of the story: Logging is quick cash; own the land and the trees, and your future is steady and stable.

My uncle owned the company for almost 40 years and was rich.....my dad was foreman......the economy killed it. It pays to have a few different options for work.

I was 49 when I decided to start life over.
Look where I am.
It's a hellish place to make a living.
There's tricks to survival and success, no matter where a person chooses to make their stand.

My uncle owned the company for almost 40 years and was rich.....my dad was foreman......the economy killed it. It pays to have a few different options for work.

My dad owned/operated his log trucking business for thirty years, made a lot of money, suffered a disabling aneurism that left him half-paralyzed and idiotic. Tragic story. Mom died a few years later.

My uncle built/owned a large trucking company. Made a ton of money when he sold it all. Lived a fine life for twenty years, then he died.

I'm staying away from trucking for a living.
