Beside You


Many years of pain and sorrow-
and always wondering if there would be a tomorrow;
my head held high and soul made stronger.
Many lonely nights I would cry-
defending myself to prove I don't ever lie;
continuing to live a little bit longer.

From out of nowhere you came into my life-
and now you ended my world of strife;
you don't know what you have done to me.
You have shown me who you really are-
that you'll always be my shining star;
with all my hurtful memories, you have set me free.

Your depth, like mine, is deeper than the ocean-
compassion and love is just a fraction of our emotions;
you have given me hope, for this life- we both can start anew.
God listened to my plea and prayers-
and sent you to me to end my nightmares;
and all I ever want is to be forever beside you.

I have never loved a woman so much-
until you came into my life... my soul you touched;
you are truly a gift from God that I never want to lose.
As I mentioned to you before... our depth is also like space-
continuing forever while our love is full of grace;
living our lives together- we both have the same views.

Words, songs, and poetry can never describe-
the amount of love for you that I have inside;
as I breathe deeply and sometimes I have to catch my breath.
You lift me up, believe in me, and make me stronger-
and I always pray you'll love me a little while longer;
forever holding me close and keeping me away from death.

For, it is you and only you that I long to hold-
and with you and our children to come... I want to grow old;
knowing you'll never abandon me- I know our love is very true.
You're so beautiful inside and out, this is what I will forever see-
I love you from within, below me, above me and for eternity;
and my little sweet Renata- all I ever want is to be forever beside you.
