When 67-year-old British banking scion Sir Evelyn Rothschild first set eyes on 44-year-old Lynn Forester at the 1998 Bilderberg conference—the matchmaker was none other than Henry Kissinger—she was already a woman of major means.

A corporate lawyer and telecommunications entrepreneur, the sparkly blond ex-wife of former New York politician Andrew Stein had made more than $100 million from the sale of cleverly acquired wireless broadband licenses. She was also sexy, charming, and dazzlingly well connected. Two years later, after the smitten Sir Evelyn divorced his second wife, Victoria Schott, the mother of his three children, Forester became the third Lady Rothschild. After marrying in November 2000 at a London synagogue, they honeymooned at the White House, guests of Lynn's good friends Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Today the New Jersey-born Lady de Rothschild—the flashiest hostess in London—is mates with Tony and Cherie Blair, among other topflight Britons. She's also mistress of the former John Singer Sargent home in Chelsea and of Ascott House, the 3,200-acre Rothschild family estate in Buckinghamshire, and the chief executive of E.L. Rothschild, the holding company that she owns with her third husband to manage investments in the Economist and various enterprises in India. Those include FieldFresh, a startup that will grow and export Indian fruits and vegetables for markets in Europe and Asia, and a soon-to-be-announced retail venture aimed at the exploding Indian middle class.

In July, Sir Evelyn completed the sale of his stake in the centuries-old English branch of the Rothschild banking empire (for a reported $600 million)—which frees up a lot of capital for them to be major players in the Indian business world.

This week, Lady de Rothschild talked exclusively with Portfolio.com about business, pleasure, politics, and society—especially her devotion to the idea of President Hillary. "I'm very comfortable in brand-new spaces," she says. "I'm very comfortable with a blank sheet of paper. In fact, I've made my money by doing what people have never done before."

I would be wary of anyone envolved in and attending the Bilderberg conference!!!

WASHINGTON — A top Hillary Rodham Clinton fundraiser threw her support behind Republican John McCain on Wednesday, saying he will lead the country in a centrist fashion and accusing the Democrats of becoming too extreme.

"I believe that Barack Obama, with MoveOn.org and Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean, has taken the Democratic Party _ and they will continue to _ too far to the left," Lynn Forester de Rothschild said. "I'm not comfortable there."

Rothschild is also a member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee. She said she would be stepping down from her position on the committee but will not switch political parties.

Clinton spokeswoman Kathleen Strand said in an e-mail that the New York senator disagrees with Rothschild's decision to endorse McCain.

"Senator Clinton has been criss-crossing the country and doing whatever she can to make the very clear case that the Obama-Biden ticket represents the new ideas and positive change we need right now, and the McCain-Palin ticket does not," Strand said in the e-mail.

Rothschild said she was excited by the prospect of a woman being in the White House, even though she and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin disagree on issues. The Alaska governor opposes abortion except in the case of a threat to the mother's life. Rothschild said she supports abortion rights.

"I believe that the McCain-Palin government will be a centrist government," Rothschild said. "It's not going to be an ideological government."

Rothschild is a member of the DNC's Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York. She was one of Clinton's top fundraisers, bringing in more than $100,000 for her presidential campaign. She built a multimillion-dollar telecommunications company before marrying international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild.

Rothschild said she has not discussed her support for McCain with Clinton.

"I'm sure she is not pleased with what I'm doing today," she said. "But you know what? I have to do what I believe in."

Obama or McCain hmmm I really don't like either one, but honestly i don't believe either one of them is capable of fixing this country, This country needs to rethink and revamp almost all of it's recent thinking and strategies. This country needs to STAND UP and take responsibility for ITSELF! We outsource almost everything, because it is cheaper and large cooperation's can make a higher profit...not bringing us cheaper products. Then when those companies want to expand(and create more jobs) because they are making a higher profit We tax them more so it is not beneficial for them to expand thus we lose out on more jobs that would be created for the american economy. We spend BILLIONS of dollars on studying steroids on professional athletes then say we don't have the funding to keep Physical education in schools...all why America's young society is suffering from abnormal obesity rates that is causing diseases among children that they should NEVER have to worry about. We spend $120,000 a YEAR to support ONE prisoner! while the average law-abiding blue-collar worker yearly income is about half that!(or less). Because a PRISONER who has broken the laws that we have set in place to keep a peaceful PROSPERING economy MUST have cable television(it is a law that all prisons must have cable tv) while a blue-collar worker chooses not to have cable because it cost too much. The prison system should go back to being self-supportive it is possible...tent city...They broke the law, they are supposed to being PUNISHED not REWARDED for it. Make the prison system self-supportive, use the extra BILLIONS of dollars elsewhere where it is needed. But no, because they broke the law, the American tax-payer is expected to support them for the rest of their lives behind bars while they study the law...which the average American cannot afford to do...so they know how to get away with the same crime next time. Then there is the welfare issue, i've known many many welfare families some justified and some not so justified, that needs tighter regulations as well for who qualifies, the length of time, and what happens if you are found out abusing the program. This country doesn't just need a new president who is tied to any particular political party it needs the people in this country to take responsibility for their OWN actions and see what is truly wrong with it!

You are incorrect sir... Or perhaps you simply switched the names accidentally.

McCain called Obama this morning... He then waited to make the announcement so that Obama would have a chance to respond. That is what fox reported when I was watching it.

That is also what cnn, and msnbc reported.

Of course I understand that there are people who will say that all these news services are in the employ of some supersecret organization that is bent on world domination and controlled by aliens in ufo's

Still does not change that fact that we have someone who put their country first... and may lose an important election because of it.

I wonder if it brought chills to Obama when he got that call.

I guess your timeline is off alittle too....Hey one thing I wont do is lie and Im sorry my friend that is what Fox news reported!!!

Perhaps then you and I were watching different fox news channels. It is possible that I missed the truth since I do watch more then one news service and I reckon that could mean I was distracted at the time with my split screen personality.
Yea and maybe I had kool-aide in my eyes..What ever..Is McCain to old to multitask...People do it all the time..

After re-reading our post I realize that it might appear as though I was calling you a lier...

My sincere apoligies. That was not my intention in any way.

but I do owe you a grateful thank you.

I went back to my tapes to see if you were perhaps right. I discovered something I think might be important.

Timeline as I saw it.

Fox popped up a 'ALERT' stating that McCain was suspending his campain. They went to comercial..

When they came back they stated that McCain was asking for a delay in the debates.

Then they showed Obama stating that he had initiated the call.

Shortly after that a senior McCain spokesperson stated that Obama had indeed called the McCain campain Hq's but did not talk to McCain or state the reason why he called...

Now for the thing that I discovered... In re-watching the tape I noticed something that I wish I had noticed when it was live.

Timeline - McCain claims to have called Obama had told him of his intentions.
- Obama claims to have initiated the call.

Obama stated 'I received a call from Ron Paul... After that call I initiated a call to the McCain Camp...

so...

McCain claims credit. Obama claims credit. Pres Bush claims credit.

Ron Paul actually appears to be the one that started this.

Then each canditate responded with in their own way from that.

I would have liked to know what it was that Ron Paul said to each of them cause it would appear that he also called John McCain at roughly the same time he called Obama.

The Alert Posted and the commentator was reading just what I said off of his Blackberry..It really makes no matter..I think the big fix will TANK anyway and we will be no better off..Sure it will open credit up to corporations so they can go about daily business but I guarantee, you and me will find it harder to finance anything. So who is gonna buy their products? My home value will stay in the toilet, foreclosures will continue, the states will still suffer and it could drive our economy even deeper towards a depression..Now I have said I'm not educated but I listen and its not to the politicians, people on here( Well maybe 1 or 2), but friends and family that are highly educated and from both sides of the isle..These people stand to loose alot if nothing is done, hell we all do, but are very worried if it dosnt work..

If it's true that Dr.Paul made this effort, then I find it amusing that there is so much being made of it, when Dr.Paul did all the footwork.

It is right after Obamas intro I would say about 2 minutes into it... 'blah, blah ,blah' and then 'This morning I recieved a call from Senator Ron Paul. After we spoke I then initiated a call to the McCain camp...'

I have paraphrased this since I am not at this moment in a place where I can play the tape to give you the exact time or exactly what what said.

But he did say he had received a call from Ron Paul and that it was before his own call to McCain. (Which the McCain camp says never reached McCain).
