Here is what would be awesome.

If everyone who posts here and truly believes we need real alternatives got off their collective asses after this election and began to work for and build real alternatives.

I bet that's something we can all agree on.

Why do I say after this election? Because we need to start with the school board, the drain commission, the zoning board and aim for the presidency.

Write in Ron Paul.

That is the whole reason they don't want him getting into office. He was stone walled a bit.

First step, sign up for Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, donate money if at all possible. Then, for the election, either vote for one of Dr. Paul's candidates (Cynthia Mckinney, Chuck Baldwin, Ralph Nader), or just write in Ron Paul if you state actually counts the write ins. The whole point of that is you will give publicity to those people that will address the REAL issues and provide REAL solutions to these issues. If you really feel ambitious, Organize some town meetings, or some sort of community support groups that can get together and do what you brought up earlier.

What i don't get, is the people that want "change" the most blindly supporting Obama. If you vote for him or McCain, you aren't helping anyone out. You are just following the crowd of "sheeple".

I agree with you...Locally here a lot of heads need to fall..You wouldn't believe the corruption..

Another thing i don't get, is how the people that are complaining the most, about all these issues like, economy, healthcare, etc. all complain about how the government is screwing everything up. Yet they vote for bigger government, and more intervention... How does this make sense? Everyone agree's that the government is corrupt, and getting worse, but they want us to be more dependent on the same government they are complaining about? WTF?

First, regulate their power according to our constitution, than redistribute that power back to the states a bit more. If you deconsolidate power, and restore the checks and balances, you will find corruption start to dissappear.

The biggest problem here is when people vote for people and policies that offer handouts. This is how we get manipulated. Free this and free that. The government was never supposed to hold our hands from the moment we were born until we die. People are "voting themselves money" as old Benjamin Franklin put it. When people start doing that, it will "herald the end of the republic".

To be truly effective it must be done at all levels at once.

Saturate the political field of battle and they won't know where to respond, nor will they have the assets to respond to all of it.

Get out the truth on the locals. Make sure everyone knows their names and what they are doing. Do the same at the County, State, and Federal levels.

And do it all at the same time. All over the US.

Then perhaps they will remember who is actually the boss of US.

That won't help with this election at this late date. But..it would be great for the next one and the next one....

Obama can't win unless your father and my father vote for him...which as we know...is NOT going to happen...

My father, an Independent, is voting for Obama and so is my mother, a Democrat.
