No. When it doesn't work out, you still have to see them.

So it seems that everyone agrees that it's not a good idea.

If you were a "supervisor", how would you handle the situation of two employees dating?

Is it against company policy?

I'm not running a fortune 500, so I don't have a employee handbook. But, it's always gone without saying.

If it is a violation of company policy then cite the book to em and make them aware of what they have to lose. If it's not then leave it alone cuz it is outside of the supevisors role. If there are violations caused by them dating cite the violations to them

If it's not against company policy there's not much that you can do. Just make sure that they remain professional at work.

It might also be a good time to pull out that oh so much annual sexual harrassment training.

Maybe not the best place to fine a date.
But I don't rule it out completley.

Never in my dept. though.

In general I'd say No. Too many complications!
That is what cuts into my dating-I won't date someone at work-and that is where I spend most of my time...
So its hard to meet people, but avoid that temptation!!
Of course if either of you changes jobs-thats a different story!
