OHHHHHHH..
You must have been watching the weather channel...you know, when they were talking about the eye of the hurricane... I think it was named Ike, in fact, I am sure it was named Ike. Way up where I live the weather pattern was even affected by Ike. Although, I really did not notice anything really different. The weather we had today was fantastic!! I must say that the sky was beautiful blue and the lake looked so gorgous!! a far cry from the other nite when the waves were crashing on the beach almost to the steps to go up the sand dune...anyway, today we worked outside almost the whole day...getting things ready for the winter months that will be coming very soon!! oh, and we also refinished a dresser today. It belonged to my Grandmother on my fathers side...sadly, she died several years ago...Alvina was her name and she could remember all of our birthdays and our kids birthdays almost til the day she died!! She barely knew her own name in the last year of her life, yet she could remember all of our names and birthdays and those of our children!! Amazing,eh? So...it was her dresser that we refinished and will be using in our bedroom... other than that we have been working really hard on the yard and getting all the fall planting done...the sod we laid down looks just beautiful!! it is so nice to have the beautiful lawn to walk on!! the dogs just love it, especially Ms. Wiggles who laid basking in the sun most of the day today while we worked really hard!! |

Does anyone else get annoyed by seeing so many threads with a title that gives nothing away as to what the thread is about? There are threads with titles such as 'What', or 'Hey'(and the thread is more than just a hi), or 'do you' etc etc etc. What annoys me most is that after looking at the thread i forget what it was about and find myself going back into these threads unnecessarily several more times. Id like to see more effort from people with the titles of their threads. Anyone else agree? or am i just a loser?(dont answer that!)

There are threads with titles such as 'What', or 'Hey'(and the thread is more than just a hi), or 'do you' etc etc etc. What annoys me most is that after looking at the thread i forget what it was about and find myself going back into these threads unnecessarily several more times. Id like to see more effort from people with the titles of their threads. Anyone else agree? or am i just a loser?(dont answer that!)  Well that's because a lot of the threads HAVE nothing of substance in them.  My thread DEMI/ASHTON SUCCESS STORIES .. I think totally explains it's about older/younger relationships .. pretty self-explanatory My thread Fade2Blacks Happy Place? Yep. You got it. A place to BE HAPPY cuz there isn't enough of THAT in the world

I think one reason I really don't pay much attention to the titles anymore is because I tend to look at whose thread it is -- after awhile, you figure out who always has something to say, who's good for a laugh, who's thought-provoking, who asks questions that you want to see people's responses to -- There are a whole lot of people whose threads I would pretty much automatically read regardless of the title -- because I want to find out whatever it is they have to say! |

 ...the titles of the threads here...silly or not...don't even make my list . I come here to escape my list of annoyances  ...it usually works
