No, things like that tend to make me angry. Sounds like you are very sensitive (which is a good thing) and you probably shouldn't watch those things.

Used to. But not anymore.
Not because I don't care or don't feel for the people who were there and their families. The reason it doesn't make me sick anymore is because it disgusts me the way the event is now used to manipulate the public and to manipulate votes. That's the reason I turn the channel. On a different note, on the 11th, Omaha had a massive fireworks display, that blew the 4th of july out of the water. It's one thing to have a day for remembering. It is another thing to turn it into a huge bash that's even bigger than the forth of July. That kind of celebration for a horrible tragedy rather makes me sick, too. |

Everyone deals with that kind of thing differently. I'll admit to being shocked and a bit sad about the whole thing but I was more fascinated by it than anything else.
It's history that should be studied and learned from. |

If it were a memorial I might support it but it does sound kind of crass. I wish they would quit messing around and make it easier for people in such disasters to get meaningful help.
F.Y. I. Do you know workman's compensation checks still do not have to be directly deposited into the benificiary's account because the payors (the mega million dollar insurance companies) might accidently send a check to someone who died between checks? This means widow's and widower's or the aged parents that are careing for those children who lost their parents have to stand in line in a bank and wait sometimes as long as 21days to cash a check for their needs or pay a check cashing place a fee for their benifits that will never increase with the cost of living? Or that while a person is in litigation for a settlement that they don't qualify for most assisstnce programs? But you know the politicians that make political hay on orphans and widows/ers get COLA raises every year. We say we care but it is lip service because most people just shake their heads an maybe swear or change the channel when they hear these meaness. . |
