okay this morning my friend heather introduces me to this guy she goes to school with and at first hes pretty cool he asks why im in a wheelchair i simply told him well i was born with CP i explained all of what it meant and didnt mean and he was like ok and i didnt leave ANYTHING out! but he wanted to see what wasnt there i guess because he asked if i was retarded, if i could move at all if i had full function of everything if i had sensation everywhere i was patient with him and explained the same thing over and over and he comes out with "um do you have a long life expectancy" by now im fuming because he just doesnt get it and so i said, "nope because i dont have full use of my arms and legs and i have anxiety issues i might just keel over any second because as we all know walking is an essential part of living" he didnt say anything after LOL this is another example of why idiots should never breed

I guess he didn't catch on that you do not have issues with mental retardation considering you efficiently verbalized CP in a highly intelligent manner. It sounds like he just couldn't hear you with all the noise in his own head. That would get to me, too!! It's up there with a woman orator in heels trying to explain something simple and matter of fact to a man who is too involved in checking out her parts. He just can't hear!!!
