When I signed up for JustSayHi.com, I was really starting to feel desperate for that "Special someone" to be in my life. I have met a few "special" people that I like to call my friends, but that "special someone" I have not met. And I am okay with that.
I have figured out that my biggest fear was of being alone. As of now, I have been living alone for 6 months, and have not had any dates or relationships in 3 months. In that time, I have responded to everyone who has been brave enough to send me a message, and even tried sending a few messages of my own. Basically what I am trying to say is that I am not here to find that "special someone" anymore. I may never find her, and I am learning to deal with that. I am not going to deactivate my account, but I am also not going to be so desperate any longer either. |

Good idea, desparation's not pretty. When you're comfortable with you and your life, that's when love tends to happen.

I can't count the number of times I've been told "it will happen when you quit looking". So I can relate to what you're saying. Desperation usually makes us do things that normally we wouldn't do at all. Keep enjoying the people you DO meet thru the site.

Cheers!!! Perfectly said. Desparation is not the way to go. Listen to Fran - she's a smart cookie. Just have fun. Try to fill every day with laughter and fun. I too was in the same situation at one time. I felt lonely for a little while. It did not feel good. But once I was able to accept my situation, I loved every minute of it. I did what I wanted. Went where I wanted to go. Hung out with who I wanted to hang out with. Had the best one on one alone times with my daughter that I could ever have imagined. It was great. And I wanted to stay single. I enjoyed it. But I still had an open mind and when I was not looking, I found her.
And now 7 months later I wish I was single again...........JUST KIDDING!!!! Good luck bro!!! |

I went it alone for over 10 years. I was not unhappy. Now that I'm back in the fray, I feel more lonesome, and I am trying to get my head back to where it was, that I was fine without dating and relationships. If it happens, great. If it is not meant to be, that is the status quo.

If I'm meant to be alone, that's what I'll accept. And, given the choice between feeling lonely because I'm alone and feeling lonely with someone...I'd rather feel lonely cause I'm alone, that makes more sense.
