I think Roses are overrated.. Personally I love sunflowers or gerber daisies.. But make sure to get the flowers close to her town so they won't die on the ride there... Sunflowers are my favorite. If a guy showed up for a date and gave me a sunflower, that would definitely start things off right. Same here.. I have yet to find a guy that pays enough attention to me to bring me sunflowers... |

I never noticed a girl to express a preference for sunflowers before. One liked lilies, but that's the only one. Of course, come to think of it, I never really asked, just gave them roses.
I'll probably do a bouquet for now, and see what she likes later. |

She may like fresh cut flowers from a garden,kinda more flattering to some being that u took thought in it instead of store bought..and they stay fresh as long as u put them in water right away.A rose is never a downer even if they dont prefer them,just mix it with something else like star jasmine if u have the opportunity.Its my opinion that most like sunflowers,so u can treat a first impression even better if u bring a selection of types.Says u are thoughtful in its own way..but thats my opinion,its the thought that counts in the end anyway.And u asking people about what to bring her makes me beleive u care enough to make the flower seem negligible after time...gl

Cheerful, casual (i.e. not roses or rosebuds) and fresh from somewhere closer to her town... otherwise, get them in a cooler but NOT directly on ice as you travel. Flowers are always nice - as hostess gifts, as a first date "hello" or whatever...

Personally i wouldnt give flowers on a first date, but then you do know this girl already from online, maybe you know thats the right thing to do. I say go for a single red rose. Its easy, cheap and romantic all in one. |

Id have to agree no roses! My last bf killed the love of roses sending them when he did something wrong. Just go in and find something unique, something that catches your eye! Its the meaning that counts. Even if she likes roses I think they would be a little too much for the 1st date!

Well by the time I got to her town (6:30 pm) the flower shop was closed, and I didn't have time to find another before meeting her, so that part kinda went to pieces.
