I converted from Bar soap to liquid soap a few years ago, it costs more than bar soap and I use more than I did using bar soap it certainly does not last as long. I use bath/shower gels for baths/showers. Many years ago I use to put new open bars of soap in with my clean shirts and clothes in the cupboard it certainly gave them a fresh smell, nowadays you add an in-wash scent booster to your laundry, which are very good but not as many fragrances to choose from, as there were in bars of soap, when placing bars of soap amongst your clothing and they never wore out.
