i've been there a couple of years ago on business. it's way smaller when compared to vegas, which might be a good thing if you don't like vegas.

there ain't as much casino action in reno, except for the peppermill hotel, which is one of the larger operations there.

other than that, i dunno what to tell you.

you won't have much trouble, as the main drag isn't that large. almost everything's walking distance along the main drag, including the restaurants, various stores, even the strip joints.

i'm pretty sure the nightlife out in reno is pretty quiet as well. then again, i never DID experience the nightlife there as i was too busy working.

here's a site you might be able to find useful-

yeah. it's an actual legal brothel. the last i heard, there were a couple such places out there. the bunny ranch is evidently the largest of the establishments though, as it's even got a full-on bar and possibly even a restaurant by now.

i've never been in the place though, as it out of the way of where i needed to go for my business.

Hi. Yes I have been to Reno several times. Its a really fun town. In fact, it is "The Biggest Little City in the World". Nothing could be more true. I agree with what others have mentioned here that it is NOTHING like Vegas. Vegas is fun in its own right but the strip is quite bombastic and crazy. Reno is a little more "Western" and has a wholesome, relaxed atmosphere. That was my impression of it. Yes, there is the gambling and casinos but not on quite a large scale. Do you enjoy gambling? I would hit Harrah's in Reno. For some reason, Harrah's has always been generous to me. You want to go with a bank role if you plan on gambling. It doesn't have to be your rent or mortgage payment but an amount you are comfortable playing with. Once that is gone, STOP. Good luck.
